Batteries never drain without a reason. Some application must be using the battery when it shouldn't. A common problem that I had on Zenfone Max on Marshmallow was that GPS turned on itself all day long, although I had it clearly turned off. But the problem solved downgrading to Lollipop. Most of battery drain problems can be solved by analyzing battery statistics and taking some sort of action. I will not buy this phone if you talk such bad things about battery. Because I really hate when battery drains fast without a reason. Wow it just really grinds my gears. If I buy this phone or another different one and have battery drain issues, I sling the phone out through the window! Fortunately, my current Zenfone Max never has fast battery drain since I solved the GPS problem. It only discharges when I am using it a lot. And it discharges very slowly. Indoors, it only uses to discharge a 3% each half hour of continuous use.

I checked this phone for half day..
This phone global version doesn't support 4G+ technology. What a shame for Asus.
Screen brightness not that bright in maximum.
With such a good camera, screen ppi only 401. What a shame.
No multiple user support.
No 128gb available yet.
No water resistance.
No double tap screen wake option
Battery 5000, but sometimes battery drains very fast. Dont know reason.
Think twice before buying this phone!!

Bad, 05 Mar 2017Am not sure which one I buy s8 or Sony or asusS8 has a small 3000 mAh battery like my S7. I regret buying S7 because of fast battery draining problem. I'm thinking to sell my S7 when Assus release Zenfone 3 Zoom with 5000 mAh battery.

I do not understand what the sales management for this phone is but it is not a good one imho.I think maybe they discovered a problem and they want to solve it? Or maybe they have not the capacity to build the phones on a large scale...

Samsung galaxy s8 is almost here....lol... Delay more asus and you will surely be at the bottom.. Frankly im tired of waiting for this phone..since december? Hmp.. My present cp needs to be replaced, i cant wait any longer.. Its not doing good anymore..i must have a new one now..

It is very worthy to wait for this phone to be released. In my opinion, it is the best phone ever in the whole market. High quality screen. High quality speaker. High quality camera. Pretty good chipset. Attractive look. And most important: a good battery backup.

New asus zenfone 3 zoom with SD 835, 5000mah and Dual Camera (High-end)
and
ZenFone 3 Zoom with SD625 5000mah without Dual Camera (Mid-Range)
now Waiting for Nokia
losing hope with asus
like iPhone ISO
in android OS Only ASUS will give us Better Premium phone's (itwasmydream)
Other brands r using androidOS like garbage no reason to use...

I love everything about this phone except that I wished it had the 626 chipset instead. Does anyone know if Asus will replace the 625 of this phone with the newer version (even at a higher price)?

We waited 3 months without any updates from asus, in this moment they just said again delay without any details at least when will be available, in this moment i belive can be a better option s7 edge which got really cheaper or G5 plus same camera more cheaper, sorry asus
