My girlfriend bought 2 of these, and in under 3 weeks both displays and the phones have failed. Very poor quality phone, highly discourage buying it.

I have now purchased 2 Zenfone 3 Zooms in the last three months. I love the features, the flexibility the interface, the camera and picture quality, speed everything is nice about he phone except durability. The first one got a cracked screen within a month (and I am not really sure how it even happened, it was not even dropped) and the display faded to black. I liked the phone enough I ended up purchasing a second from Amazon.
After a month and a half I noticed the body of the phone started twisting (presumably from being in my pocket all the time). Within a week of noticing that, I dropped it trying to take a picture and boom. Another dead phone. This one has a warrantee, but the phone is inherently weak. I had a Motorola X 2014 for 4 year with no incidents prior. Your mileage may vary.

I've had this for about a month, bought it from Best Buy (instead of Amazon because they had many issues with it) since they have a pretty good track record for quality control and there's no screen burn-in. Possibly due to the Nougat + ZenUI 4.0 update. What's best about the phone in addition to the battery (which lasts me 3-4 full days on average playing an hour of Injustice 2 every day and streaming videos) is that you can customize the saturation, so all shows I watch have a vivid, HDR-like feel to it.

OMG... what kind of phone is this. First white issue followed by loose power button and volume button, and now the screen lifted at the right side near the power and volume buttons. AMAZING!

I bought the ZF 3 Zoom one month ago. Version ASUS_Z01HD. In less than 30 days I got the white line at the bottom of the screen. On internet people say ASUS normally try to fix the phone instead replace it, and after couple days the white line is back.
This is disappoint, I don't want to spend my time and money sending my phone to them and get the same issue few days latter.

Had the white line and screen issue before this as well.. it happened after two months i bought this hp.. however, im very fortunate coz i brought it to the service centre and it's fixed within a week.. everything is back to normal.. hopefully it will stay this way for a longer time..

Cannot be happier phone working better than I expected.Have used Nokia,Samsung,Sony and now Asus ... all phones had their pros and cons ... but in the end the least PROBLEMATIC was the Asus ... which as I said is working better than ANY OTHER PHONE I HAVE HAD .Will update if anything detrimental occurs ...otherwise it's smooth sailing .

Better buy a Chinese phone. After one moth both phones got he same line. Used for few weeks and suddenly screen started crashing with black lines . I tried to reset also. But it didn't work. After few weeks whole phone got into black screen. And now when I tried unlock on display gets a flash. Both phones same. Asus knows the old batch phones are performed on that way. So they should not sell this kind of phones. I recommend don't buy this. Better a Chinese phone. 750 USD wasted. And they don't refund and no replace. I brought from Asus international. I would like to say if you don't wanna waste your money don't buy this. I'm from Maldives. Now I have to spend 100 USD to resend and repair this phone s. Look the worst I will get. I have to forward us adress and waiting for month to get back. Who is going to take care of the loses. Im confused. And wasted.

Worst phone in this price range. Within 20 days display not wokred. Submitted to service centre and yet to receive device 10 days already over. Their service also worst ever in market. There is imo refund too. Without using phone my 27k is in their profit. What kind of cheating is this??? Can anyone please say how to get solution I.e refund or replacement..

Yes..white line issue on mine too. Bought it in Singapore. Called up Asus service centre and they said I will have to pay for service fees if found its software issue - even its within warranty period. They said they will repair but no replacement.Terrible customer services. I didn't send the phone on for repair as I'm not sure whether they can either fix or charge me. They seem indifference and don't know what's the issue. Now after four months since the white line, the screen starts showing dark verticle shades. It's coming on and off for unknown reason. So disappointed with Asus. First time I used Asus and I will never buy Asus phone again.

Bought in the US with no major issues so far. I've been using this for months and it's a great phone, great battery, two days use with heavy usage. 9-10 hours SOT. Can't imagine phone dying on me. I hope they have a zoom 4 with band 12 in the US and 2sim+SD card option.

Very sad, I am using this phone in India, bought from U.S 45 days back. I'm seeing 2 pink lines in display, tried many things but did not fix. I'm a Sony fan, but I bought this phone after seeing the specs and reviews, very disappointed.

after 3 days purchase, the white lines appear. luckly the shop willing to change with the new one. but they said they have to check the new phones for 3 days if the other set is having tge problem also. btw does the white line problem occur on all the 1st batch phones?

i just bought mine last week,as of today no white line issue as of the moment,correct me if im wrong but i think there was a recall on all first batch of zenfone 3 zoom, because of the white line issue and the issue was corrected.

As of today. What is the news about this WHITE LINE issue? Is it fix? Planning to buy this but this WHITE LINE issue I see or heard is pulling me back. Any tips before buying this so I wont face this issue. Because other user of this phone says that they dont experience this after the update. But not sure if it is true or not.
