The performance is good. Like an expensive smartphones. But the problem is the battery life.
If zenfone 4 has a score of out of 10 , 9-10...
-1 is the battery life.
Tip:
Try to update all apps.
Because many apps are in the asus. Such as google apps and asus apps. All of these app are not updated so it affect the battery life.

People are complaining about the battery life.. If you have several apps running in the background, then you can expect that the battery life will not last more than a day. I have this phone for 3 days now and so does my brother. He has apps (facebook, kakaotalk, pou, and so on) we both had fully charged our phones at noon and before the evening was out he was already at 43% while my phone was still at 87%. I only installed Battery Doctor that that's it.
This phone is good for regular usage (call, text, and photos, musicand other lite tasks) but unless you know how to disable useless apps running in the background and know how to conserve battery powerlike reducing brightness, disabling wifi, bluetooth and other programs that are not needed, then you better stay away from this phone.

adam, 14 Dec 2014How to upgrade to kitkatjust go to setting. then open 'about/click the system update. it shows that your system is up to date. in facts it is still jelly bean. don't worry. just switch on "auto download via wifi". if you're under wifi connection it will be automatically downloaded.

I bought this fone a month ago and for me it's ok. The interface is awesome and smooth. It can bear any good quality images. For the battery though, since mine is 1600mAh, I totally accept it when it comes to draining. So my final review for this fone is 8 out of 10; 8 for the fone's awesomeness and -2 for the battery life. Also, this fone is cheap for a good using purpose.
