Mic of the phone got damaged in 2 months. when i went to the service center they said that you have to pay rs 1600 for this.

Worst phone....you will find the phone good for 3/4 months . After that so many problem are coming.....for any simple problem minimum cost is 6000 rupees......
I am going to through this phone....
at present i am facing following problem...
1. Able to speak only on blootooth....speaker and mic is not working....
2. Battery problem
3. Bad picture quality...

This phone was very awesome, the people said they got problem at battery. But i don't, if you harrasing battery for high gaming I agree with them, but for daily like browsing open this and that not a game it's not bad as they say.
The real problem was heat, for me. It's like I can mades some omelete over my phone, but it doesn't make any damage or malfunction, or beloved enemy: hangs. So far.
But if you still got problem at battery even you're "not even once gaming" I should ask you this "what kind of apk did you install in your phone ?"
And remember rooting can be change anything, include the power consume, and it will make a possible for your phone to "die" earlier than it should have. So, stay on the developer side. Enjoy.

I have cheated from asus company by buy zenfone'5 asus model mobile, since three times complaint come before warranty period,2 error resolved but still come
1->complaint was speaker problem, so i cant hear ringtone or callertune while calling.
2->charge immediately dispose or reduce, so i can take mobile for remote places, beause of rapidly charge deminish, and charge empty
3->Now again the Bigg complaint come that Network not get, ie any range is not available, i cant use it as phone, and calling service stopped, so whats is the usage of this phone i dont know.
If we will approuach to asus service centre ,kokkala, thrissure, they will not treat as well, and doesnt value our time, they simply tell that you will get after long times, they doesnt think about what we will do upto resolve, everytime they tell now the time of leaving office while reach there at 5:00pm

KAPILI, 29 Dec 2015tell me the truth about the phone .....friends Hi friend! I have been using Zenfone 5 16GB since April 2015. Always we have to look through an item comparison with the price. ZenFone 5 16GB costed 9,999INR. No hangs with 175 apps rather than it's predownloaded apps. Touch sensitivity is awesome one ... for this feature we can compare with any phone. But battery is worse if you play high graphic games or online games. But still good for me if it is compare with it's price.

I hav bought this phone 7 months ago after viewing a lot of reviews.now im gonna sell this mobile..The following r the reviews of mine
Display : Very good ips lcd screen for this price 8/10
Camera : 8mp cam is Excellent for this price,
but front cam isnt that good 7/10
Multitasking : Is good, no noticable lag or hanging pblms.it has got 2gb ram 8/10
Gaming : Isnt that much good, coz some quad core mobiles will do better than this dual core model.i hav faced minor lags in some games. but for this price point it is good. 7/10
Asus service : i hav to say i've faced a mic problem for dis phone within 6 months.but the service is good tho..but i waited for 2 weeks to get it repaired. 7/10
Accessories : There is only few accessories available.i haven't found any original accessories from asus for this mobile, when i wanted a back panel for this mob.7/10
Sound : sound is very low for this mob, even at full volume its not that loud.and also calling experience isnt that good too.cant hear even in a medium noicy place coz the voice we hear sometimes drop repearedly.and its not a range pblm, coz i've compared it with my lumia 630 using the same sim card.and also i said earlier i've had a mic pblm fo this mob.using an earphone can make it better tho. 6/10
Browsing experience : haven't got any pblm in getting signal or browsing.also its good in 5inch big display. 7/10
BATTERY : Oh! come on Asus, whats the point of having a good smartphone without a good battery back up.I hav to say guys ,i decided to sell this mobile mainly bcoz of its battery pblm.after a full charge ,it gets empty after some hrs of normal use.from morning to afternoon for a medium usage; till evening without less usage.also battery heats up very much.can use it to make omlet.They packed a 2110 mah battery for a 5inch display.also who knows about power consumption of intel atom dual core processors of this mob.Very bad battery performance! 6/10 oh wait.. 5/10!
UI & Asus software support : android lollipop version available for zenfone5.but there is a lot of bloatwares from asus in this mob.Interface is not bad, also u can add some launchers if u want to look it better.zen ui launcher consumes a much more power to work.7/10
Overall its a good mobile for this price point,but the main problem of this phone is battery , u may hav to spend some extra money to buy a good powerbank to overcome this problem!

Was using this phone for the last one year. ( proudly ). There was an issue with the sim slot .All of a sudden both the slim slots are not working . Went to the service center . Since the product is Out of Warranty , they seems extremely happy to register the case. Sim Slot for ASUS zenfone cost around 2$ to 8$ max in the market. today I received a call from the service center asking for INR 1800 for the parts. When asked back the question , they said this is the price from ASUS. I called ASUS customer care they confirmed the service center already ordered and procured two items for my phone. Service center denied this by telling they were not ordered anything and they are waiting to get my approval over the estimate. Come to know from one of my friend who have some close contact with the service center that this is one of the way to making profit. Too bad.
