Its been 2 weeks after buying the phone and suddenly after sometime it upgraded to kk. At first i don't want to upgrade it but since it has been updated to kk no problems seen after all. Kk works smoothly on my zenfone 5..and battery issue i think is quite solve during kk update

Hi Guys,
I am facing some problem daily..while calling system was interrupt and close and then it gives a message like "system.android.process closed", it is very headache to me daily while in imp call..pls give me any solution

My Phone tech is over sensitive and auto typing messaging i can't control it some time.
some time tech was hanging. some time phone automatically working and calling. A little shaking will changing the phone settings. plz tell what i do????

Having a strange issue, after disconnecting headphone, no sound for 20 mins, then the icon vanishes & again sound is back. Draining fast, charging slow. No visible difference with kk.

And click on check update it will download approx 20 mb file after file downloaded install file then repeat this process then it will download approx 500 mb file after downloader install firmware it takes 15-20 minutes to install android kitkat

Mobile is good bec of ram 2gb

Bad battery half day wit games,stand alone 1day
Keep working for more than 15min starts getting heat as if its in oven

Hi there!
I am from the Philippines and i have the zenfone 5 for a month now. Just updated to the latest kitkat 4.4.2... there was already an update on the zen5 regarding the battery issues and sound over OTA. Although the difference is not remarkable, but still love how the phone handles games, movies, music.
Regarding the battery i am using a powerbank to address the issue. Also used battery saver, greenify and lastly i am using an apus launcher.
Dont have the issues you have guys, and im really thankful that my zen5 does not give me a headache. And for any issues, we have a group where we can ask or inquire. Hehe

U wolill get notificationnof update just install it. And if u hv any previous problem in ur phone then hard reset before update

i am using this phone and when i call someone the reciever can't listen my word with a good volume, the volume they hear is very low how can i change that??

Guys... i hv my call waiting facility on, on my ZF5 but if my one call is on and another call comes and i try to pickup that call then both the calls get disconnected. So what should i do so that calls don't get disconnected?????

Thanks @ jjj & ara for your replies.
I guess jjj is right. The call quality is not upto the mark. Calls are really rough and noisy. In simple, it is not satisfactory. Quite bad compared to htc wildfire that I'm using. The sound wizzard is not useful during calls.
For those who are complaining about battery,
this is what I did, I updated to the latest jelly bean i.e 40.10 followed by factory reset. Then, I went to settings, apps, preloaded apps and disabled google play services, google play games, google play music, google read or something etc etc that were not important to me. Now my onscren time is 6-7hrs with 2g data on. This should give me a 1+ day of use (depending on my usage). I use hike at times, i'v downloaded du battery saver, opera mini, greenify(which i hardly use) and skype.
Guys dont forget to close the apps after use them else they will stay on and keep draining ur battery.
Kitkat drains ur battery much faster and i'v heard that you cant disable google play services in it. So dont go for a kitkat update unless you really need it.

Thanks ara, but my sound in wizard is already set to music. I am having issue with clarity of sound during voice calls...Its is not clear.

Jack, 21 Nov 2014Can somebody please reply my post??? Help me with my sound... moreOn the app menu select the sound wizard then you can change the sound setting. At first you will notice it was set to saving by defoult then you can change it to music as this will set it up to louder volume.
