I have istald the new update 2.20.WW via OTA,AND MY PHONE IS WORKING SMOOTH AS IT HAS WITH THE JB FINALY.No bugs at all till now ,everiting is fine ,no lag wille scroling like i had .All good.So go ahead install and enjoy :-)!!!

I put the downloaded unzip file (the kit Kat update) on the internal storage.. nothing happens after factory reset..
I'll just update it via OTA maybe this the stable one.. I've been checking updates since I got the phone but no luck until today.. this update just came today..

In other words,
Jelly Bean 4.3 is WW_user_2.20.40.13_20141105_1055
Kitkat x.x is WW_user_X.XX.XX.XX_YYYYYYYY_ZZZZ ?
I am worried about encountering problems after the update like WiFi connection problems, battery issues, other issues etc if ever there is.
Your thoughts?

[deleted post]no the 2.20 update is the latest kitkat one, you shouldnt have any problems after that but if you do, tell me and i will solve it

At 457.57 MB, it must be a major one ? Not sure about what to expect then, that is why I'm hesitant to install it unless someone would kindly share their actual experience with the said update.

Got my zenfone 5 today and i installed viber, but the video call doesnt work. does zenfone support video call for viber?? im actually running jelly bean

Thanks for the reply.
But the latest firmware is the kitkat update. I am searching for the most stable jelly bean(android 4.2) update.
I have seen many people prefering to downgrade to jelly bean after updating to kitkat. Thatswhy i want to wait for that stable kitkat version which asus will release.
I want to use a tempered glass because it provides some protection to the phone's screen from shock and cracks.

and why you wanna use screen gaurd for this phone? this phone has gorilla glass 3 which is quite scratch resistant, with screen gaurd you are not gonna enjoy the awesome display this phone has,

I have zenfone 6 for a few days and I have weird version of firmware v.1.98.40. Do you know can I update it to v.1.18.40 or to v.2.19.?
