It is awesome phone.. better battery back up. Nice pixel master camera nd all types of videos ( 720 p /1080 p ) supported.. so i didn't need to convert any Video into mp4 format.. it's touch is very soft nd quick responsive.. overall unbeatable.

Hello Tomazz,
Since you are using "Notification Light Widget" ,posting your queries.Others also can give a try ,if you are using it.
In my experience,in the mornings I find the either notification light widget will be shown in switched off form or eventhough it is lighted ,still needs to touch it two times to ensure that it is working(notification flashes as on).I have placed this widget in a home screen which I don't visit quite often(Just wondering is it because of focus or not).So to summarize,do you also noticed any weird behavior with this widget?

Wi-Fi ... moreLooking at your screenshot, you have 2 lines of signal, which shows it being quite weak.
Is it possible that your connection drops when signal gets too low, or maybe the Zenfone stays connected but lowers the sensitivity to reduce power or something like that?
Could you move closer to router, so you have full signal, and check if it still drops off, to test this theory?

Not on ZenFone, but on iPhone I've had tremendous problems getting the thing connected to the Cisco wifi router.
Rebooting the router fixed the issues… for a while.
Then I just got fed up with it and bought a different brand of router. No issues since.

wong, 21 Aug 2014My asus zenfone 5 not working when i want charge my phone :(If charging is not working, there are 3 possible issues - charger, USB cable, phone.
Try with elimination…
If you plug it into a USB port of your computer - does it charger?
If you have another USB to microUSB cable lying around, can you try that one? And try it from a USB port of computer or another powered USB port like a powered USB hub?
If none of that work, it's probably a phone problem, in which case I'd recommend you to contact Asus service centre.

karan, 20 Aug 2014Thanks bro.....and one question more how is the battery bac... moreI don't know if I am a normal user, but I charge it every other day when not used much, or if I am snapping photos, taking videos, read news, use GPS, etc. then it still lasts me through the day with lots of buffer.
If you're a heavy user, you may wish to consider a power bank.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2014friends does it support normal sized sim or not does the p... moreIt is microSIM - same as most of the phones of last year or 2, but standard started with iPhone 4.
It uses standard 3.5 audio socket, just like every other mobile phone out there. Any headset for iPhone or Android would do for calls and music, as would headphones that fit it. But to use the buttons on headset you will need Android compatible set.
The one that comes in the box is actually decent in-ear set.

The booting screen should come up with the Welcome Screen for the first time, but nothing happens. It went to a loop finally and then was not switching off. Started to behave weirdly. I will try to charge it and boot it with a micro SIM card, but I don't know whether that should work. Fingers crossed. Lets see. If this the way to boot a ASUS Zenphone 5, then they should provide trouble shooting steps in the user manual. I am seriously dejected and sad now. Had huge hopes on this one. Now I am literally gutted. Any other suggestions, people, I am all ears.
