AnonD-291211, 05 Aug 2014Which phone you talking about. Zenfone 5 is having 2gb Ram ... moreMy model is the T00J, the lowest model of 3 variant. There is the 16GB/2GB RAM, 8GB/2GB RAM and the lowest i bought was the 8GB/1GB RAM.
i manage to sell my Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro which also has an 8Mpixel camera too and i find it the pictures a little sharper compared to the Asus (too much noise although Asus picture processing is faster maybe due to its latest chipset)

Got this phone in early July 2014. Specs are T00J model, 8GB memory, 1GB RAM, Updated to patch version 1.14.40.16, been running smooth and fantastic so far. No lag on internet or youtube nor experience phone hanging. Picture and video quality are good, screen resolution is absolutely great, although a little hard to see if you are outdoors under direct sunlight (just need to adjust the brightness level higher). Camera and video recording is average, but acceptable for the price of this phone.
Battery life is bearable if you are a heavy user (just make sure you have a power bank with you at all times). Enjoyed music with my bluetooth 3.0 NFC stereo headphones connected, didn't drain too much of the battery supply (my experience was 2 hours continuous -18% battery life). Only low i find is the caller volume a little soft (hard to hear the caller on the other line/end).
Apart from this one hiccup, i must say Asus has gone through tremendous length to fill the mid-range gap with such high grade components at a price which is affordable for most end users. Kudos ASUS!!

But without 3g it will last slightly more than 24 hours with 1 hour talk time and 1.5 hours of music and 15 minutes of camera usage.

Also available in ebay with higher price, Call seller before buying to check warranty condition. they mentioned kitkat os but remember asus yet to release kitkat so u will not get out of box kitakat.

i bought zenfone 5 and extremely happy with it. I didn't considered Mi3 for just only for snapdragon 800 processor, which is no use for me. What i needed was a powerful phone with dual sim(i wanted to carry one phone), Good look with nice build quality and of course within nice budget from reputed well known Brand. Zenfone 5 full filled everything though battery side is little down side but manageable. I just mesmerized with it's touch response and ZenUI. ZenUI is a complete make over and make it feel premium lot better than MIUI. I got system updates 3 times from asus since i bought. Camera of zenfone 5 is best within Rs20,000/- price bracket. When buying a phone don't fall for Mpixels but check for image quality. Plays high end games like asphalt 8 flawless and without lag though loads marginally late. Some Games may not compatible with intel even if game is of low end but most of the regular games are running fine, If not then there may a problem, Check it and report. I used Pudini original metallic finish Back cover which enhanced my phones Look, felt expensive than it is. I first thought of considering Mi3 but then i took decision wisely. Now i am sure that i took right decision by not trapped into hype marketing and repent.

no i didn't buy.
i was waiting for Amzer to release its flip cover. it has now, but unfortunately like all other covers on flipkart it is out of stock.
it trust amzer ,it last really long.
i still have my 3 year old phone with 3 years old amzer flip cover (though now the condition is really bad :P).
u won't get hole it that cover but it will protect the phone really well.
even when it falls mercilessly on the floor. n the quality will be worth every penny.
i will buy that as soon as it is available.
u can get it on amzer website bit is costly and they r not providing cash on delivery , n paying via credit card makes is rs.799
whereas on flipkart it is 625 only
but bloody out of stock

i didn't find battery a problem
be it gaming or texting or call or music or gaming.
the battery drains just like any other 5 inch display phone with 2100 mah battery.
and in Indian market almost every 5inch phone under 10,000 price bracket has 2100 mah battery.
yes if u want to use 3g 24*7
then either buy gionee m2 or lenovo p780 with 4000mah battery
or use this amazing gadget,zenfone 5 n buy a power bank which are really cheap these days

there in key settings
select tap to take screenshot
now u can take screenshot by just pressing the multitasking key for 2 seconds which is on the right of the home key.
this is simplest method to take screenshot. no need to do all that power key plus volume key us home key drama.
just a 2 sec press on multitaksing key
