The GPS is pathetic on this phone. Doesn't get a lock even when there are clear skies. Google Maps location gets frozen and doesnt move at all. Perhaps thats what u get on a cheap phone!

ram, 28 Jul 2014Same here... Don't know what to do...should I replace my ha... moreI am also facing issue with wifi. When it goes to sleep mode or standby mode or screen is off,the wifi turns off.
I had done factory reset 2 times and in settings wifi is always on but still facing this problem.
Anybody facing like this or my set is faulty???

in my devise not connected data pack in ststus i was check it its display disconnected but i cant change that option any body to know how to change status for data disconnected ?.................its urgent

Is it good? I don't know what should I buy but I interest at asus. Zenfone 5. But what make me worry is abt the battery because it's can't removeable.
What should I do if it's hang? And stop working?
Any suggestion what phone should I buy others than this?

Rest of the apps can be easily moved to external sd card. Your phone is under warranty now so do not attempt to make any R&D out of the way. Once it is over then you can root it to move apps to SD card, but which I feel is unnecessary as internal 8GB out of which approx 5 gb is available is enough for any person. Just remove the music,video,docs to external SD card if by in anyway they are stored in Internal SD card.

even ur micro sd card has a default folder for keeping obb files.
its name is something like .obb

for example , before using 3g on sim1 u can set sim1 as ur choice for data service and sim2 for calls

while u r using 3g on sim1 u will get calls on sim2.

Anonymous, 28 Jul 2014does d phone gets heated up fast?? like while charging plz ... moreyes ,the heating exists but it is normal, nothing abnormal about it. what i mean is if u play 1-2 hours games on it it non stop it will heat up.
however in day to day usage like calls chat camera music, no it doesn't.
and when i say that the heating is not abnormal i also mean that u will be able to hold the phone without any issue, it won't heat up too much, a lil, yes.

Asus is not like Micromax or Alcatel or Huawei. Asus is a reputed manufacturer of motherboards, laptops and other devices. They have proper after sales support all around India and in major nations.
I'm sayin this to convince that it is a reputed and recognized brand.
That is also why I choose to buy Zenfone 5. I was about to buy moto G, which is really an awesome phone. I wouldn't have gone for Micromax or other companies who have not properly established in India.
For this price the Zenfone 5 is the best buy available in the market. Ofcourse the Mi3 is out right now, but they have just entered India, we can't make prrdictions.
Zenfone 5 does things best in the price bracket or upto 15K [not considering Mi3].
ZenUI is great, but the asus inbuilt browser was not required since Google chrome comes pre installed. They are very similar and both can't be uninstalled. Also while using 2G we can only rely on Opera mini.
The size of the phone could have been smaller, lots of area is taken on top and the bottom of the screen but you'll get used.
The speaker is also a bit of disappointment. The volume should have been more, but the incoming call volume is just enough.
The capacitive buttons are not backlit. But you'll get used to that too.
I still don't know why Asus missed out on such tiny but basic stuff. But these should not be a reason to prevent you from getting it. It does things very well.
