This is best budget phone ever.. with the exception of LTE and NFC. other than that.. it is cheap and beautiful.. major issue that can be fixed easily are facebook and gps problem. the fix is just do the manual update (not OTA update). judt download the correct update from ASUS, unzip and put the file on internal sd card and then update..

I just bought Zenfone 5. I tried to install facebook,but when I opened it, it's stopped.So finally I do the system update, then re install facebook. Now I can open facebook . Overall are ok with this phone.

the battery life of zf5 is less than moderate, opera mini around 4-5 hours, mx player around 2-4 hours(depend on 480p or 720p). average use during outing(fb and opera mini) from 12pm till 7pm left 30-40%. night time idle took 10%. all the figure with 3g connection. and using wifi, the life is longer than 3g.

If after 3 days no update was detected, and you're sure there IS an update, you could download complete package (full update, appr 700mb) at (http://www.asus.com/Phones/ASUS_ZenFone_5/HelpDesk_Download/). Please be catious that you are downloading the correct version of the latest update, the version you choose to download should matches ur current version for update to be successfully install.

Its compatibility with apps and memory configuration is better than ZF5 as a fact. Nonetheless, built qualities of ZF5 is better than 3C, and the design/look of ZF5 -which's totally subjective -is better.

2. Ask ur mobile provider if they run their service under any of the bands: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900.

The battery runs out really fa... morePlease update your firmware to the latest firmware correctly, then, uninstall/disable unuse apps that you do not use. ZF5 tends to pack a list of apps that not everyone are fond of. BY doing so should solves most of ur issues.

Maybe because I used galaxy s3 for the past 2 year, s3 battery life is terrible, so compare with z5, I'm super happy.
Try change your USB charger , because something it is due to the charger.

for zenfone5's user, i wanna ask about the battery life. How many hours the phone it can stay from 100%? Please give the detail, example opera mini:3hours, instagram:3hours, etc.
Also zenfone 5 is originally jelly bean. so when you ugrade it to kitkat, is there any problem?

Bought this phone yesterday. The battery runs out really fast and take long time to recharge. Also gets hot easily and unable to open facebook and snapchat. Tried reinstall it but nope. Not working. The speed of camera capture is abit slow compare to sony too but since its only rm600 in malaysia so its quite worth it

i juz bought zenfone 5, and now it cant detect my umobile sim card, sometimes detect but sometimes the line broke again, even calling and online. anyone can help me to solve this problem?

Reposting- I am in Vietnam and Zenfone 5 is not officially available here. So my friend is going to China and I tell him to get this phone from China. My question is will it work ok on GSM networks in Vietnam and will there be any problem with Facebook as some posts are saying that Zenfones bought from China dont have FB running. Please help
