my zenfone 5 has this issue of loss of network connectivity for hours and after 3 or 4 hrs, and continuous search for networks, finally, i get my carrier network for a few minutes, and then again the same. I am from India and my carrier is Vodafone. Is this a firmware or hardware issue ?

my zenfone5a501cg is dropped last night during capturing photos of my friend birthday celebrations and it fell down from a height half meter when i asked the asus service center he demands 4700rs but in ebay they gives 1500RS below is it suitable mobile help me to find a asus zenfone 5 a501cg touch screen at budget price plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,

Anonymous, 27 Nov 2015Hi Prawesh, It works for 7-8 hours and 3days on standby ... moreI did all,but battery backup is not improved,when i use net browseing,battery backup very poor maximum 1 hour,i dont suggest to buy this phone due to worse battery performence.

my zenfone 5's battery life sucks, what will i do to increase it ? if i use my phone for 30 mins, battery life goes down by 50%

It works for 7-8 hours and 3days on standby approx.
Please follow below steps may improve battery backup:
1. Enable “Power saver” (Settings >Power management)
2. Close apps that are not used (Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, etc.)
3.Adjust sleep time and brightness (Settings > Display)
4. Boost memory when you see memory consumes is high with no app running,
5. check for background running applications, stop/disable unwanted apps, you can manage apps from auto-start manager.
6. check for latest ZenUI/3rd party Apps update.

excellent phone, superb hardware, i love my asus zenfone 5 and its custom ui which allow you smart customization for your smartphone. music volume is a little bit low with loudspeakers as well as headphone also but you can use poweramp for nice sound output.. battery works fine for 1 and half day with moderate use. i was always dreaming about a super phone like this.. and now asus made it reality. guys preferring hardware performance, games camera and customization must buy this phone without any doubt.

scorpion, 21 Oct 2015how long does the battery serves?It depends, what are you using it for?? on wifi or cellular data??? or just games??? I use it for games and the 3d games I played lasts me about 3-4 hours on medium brightness and using earphones on mid volume :D

I know this phone is perfect, I don't even want to see the cons on this device. I am using it and it's excellent !!! I have the 16 GB version and I have yet to see any lag or problems other than when I dropped it the ear speaker is dead so I have to repair it lol my bad asus you guys are awesome!!!
