Guys need your help..
Just installed Google camera app..
İts way better than the stock Asus camera app..
However to install the latest version of gcam as we all know the camera 2api has to be unlocked..the phone has to be rooted and bla bla..is there any other way or other app that we can get the best out of camera..

I have installed in this Zenfone 5z and the result is so much better. Prove that it is camera algorithm issue rather than the hardware itself. Search for the apk file and give it a try, you will be amazed.

                Dominique, 03 Aug 2018Maybe you can give Mate 10 a try.Suggest you directly install Google Camera apps to solve the low light issue (I already installed on this Zenfone 5z). Again, as I said, is up to camera algorithm rather than the hardware. But low light is still low light, detail is still loosing out. Google Camera does giving the kind good low light image that you want. You can Google around for the apps.

                    Anonymous, 02 Aug 2018Yes me too, plan to get Asus zenfone 5z for my next phone.At my country region, the official price from ASUS is almost same as Huawei Honor 10 and Honor 10, comparing the 128GB version. Initially, I was eager to buy Huawei Honor View 10 128GB, with official warranty, the high spec flagship phone that sold at upper midrange price, which is much cheaper than official Oneplus 5T 128GB, Oneplus 6 128GB, and also cheaper than the official Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 128GB, and Mi Mix 2S, 128GB.
                    Now, suddenly this phone is launching with SD845, that still comes with headphone jack and Micro SD slot, camera got real OIS, I am convinced to choose this phone over the others.
                    The official Oneplus 6 with the same 128GB storage, is around 64% more expensive than this phone. Yes, the non-official Oneplus 6 is cheaper, but still no where close to this phone, is 40% more expensive.
                    The closest official phone, that is priced close to this phone is Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, that also comes with SD845, is still 35% more expensive. Additionally, the non-official Xiaomi Mi8 128GB is 30% more expensive than this phone.
                    Go and compare yourself, this one is the true flagship killer, sold at midrange price.
                    Of course, no phone is perfect. All brand has their own flaws.
                    Many will come and bash this phone to claim that Oneplus 6 and Xiaomi Mi8 have AMOLED, Oneplus 6 has pure Android experience, Xiaomi MIUI are more fluid, Oneplus 6 has water resistant. Other brand has better camera, other brand has wireless charging, other brand has better speaker, other brand has bigger battery, other brand has IR blaster, other has no notch, other brand has better build quality, other brand are much better, just because other people also buying that. Some also considering more custom ROM support as the buying criteria. The list go on, and you will never satisfied.
                    The final price I paid for this phone, 6GB RAM/128GB, is $416 dollar, or 28,512 rupees, official 1 year warranty from my local ASUS store.

                      There is a lot on the table to buy this phone..
                      Latest sd845 latest Gpu Dual speakers more and more..
                      My almost 3 weeks experience out of Zenfone 5z 128/6GB..this is a perfect gaming phone..media beast..
                      However the camera department and software needs a lot of trimming..

                              So, others so called less grainy low light photography mostly are post processing effect.
                              Yes, for most people, less grainy means "better", in fact detail still losing out.
                              I don't know how low light condition you have. Even good camera like Google Pixel 2 still can fail.
                              (And yes, people do believe these low light capability are part of the camera capability, in fact it may just be the software post processing, which most people prefer, just like Google Camera algorithm, give it time for another software updates may solve those issue)

                                Benchmark still goes to S7 Edge, S8, S9, Pixel 2.
                                (But please, don't expect much on low light camera, even me myself is not satisfied how Samsung S9 perform in real low light condition, it is a hit and miss, too low light still ruin the picture, it is better than others, but still not up to satisfaction. I prefer good light photo anyway, it is much more satisfying)
                                However, in good lighting condition, xz1 almost beat all of the competition.

                                  Hello, just did the firmware update " ZenFone 5Z ZS620KL_ WW_80.11.37.95" wich should give me RAW support and panorama. Well the panorama was actually added, but i still don't see the RAW feature.
                                  And worse, The camera is now even worse in the videoperformance at 1080p 60 fps.
                                  autofocus is showing somekind of wobbling hunting jello effect, and the grainy muddy video in lower light is even more terrible now. Come on man, stop ruining my phone!...please fix!!!
                                  o yeah, still the jerky motion problem not fixed.
