AnonD-307958, 16 Sep 2014What I know...Asus originally released this phone with Atom... morethese stupid inhell soc's are so power hungry...i downclocked mine to 1.866 and then now to 1.6 to have more batt life. the stupidest decision ever made by asus...x86 32nm vs arm 28nm...it's just stupid.

lulz, 15 Sep 2014i bought my zenfone 6 2 days ago i checked the spec with CP... moreWhat I know...Asus originally released this phone with Atom Z2580 at 2.0GHz & priced it more by USD 40 or 50. Then they stopped and released only the Atom Z2560 with 1.6GHz & priced it slightly lower. No idea why the change in a slightly slower processor.

i bought my zenfone 6 2 days ago i checked the spec with CPUZ, the chipset cpu is intel Atom Z2560/1.6ghz. anyone have the same spec with me?

I had the same problem.. the file of... morei think you misunderstood me. i said i uninstalled the default app before and that's why it wasn't updating...then i reinstalled the default browser and that enabled me to update over the air ota which onlt took about 700mb i think. the reason in my opinion was that the new firmware includes updates for existing default apps and the thing won't run because of missing default apk or some of its files...

Act for network system is dual micro GSM standby and just 1 Network can be used.. include if u got wirreless connection just for 1 network beside 2 micro GSM standy and 1 Wi-fi priory is Wi-fi, if Wi-fi off, Sim slot 1 is Priory Network and u can disable sim slot 1 to use network provider in sim slot 2.

Dual active is rubbish as it needs a second pair of everything draining poer faster.
And the radio is the biggest drainer in every Phone.
over 75% of the power drain comes from the 2g/3g radio directly or indirectly (android keeping the connection alive)
I have my lg 4x hd with a cracked screen next to me and it lasts normaly 3 days with 2 hours screen on during that time (2g+wifi mode) and everything else off.
Now i have 2g disabled its lasting over 10 days on a single charge with the same 2 hours screen on.
less then 2% drain a day!
personaly dual active is only usefull if you get a absolute bargain on contracts and we all know that never happens. i disaled the second sim of this zenfone with root as its pointless.

Can anyone confirm if Zenfone 6 has dual standby and dual active or just dual standby?
"Dual standby" means if you are active on one SIM, the other SIM is not reachable. For "Dual active" even if you are active on one SIM, the other SIM is also reachable at the same time. The phone notifies you by giving beep sound.

i dont have any problem after 2 months using this.
good on gaming not lagging.
very smooth on watching HD video.
worth it.
the bad thing is :
it's just too big
i cant even put it on my pocket
so i bring bags everywhere i go.
