        Great phone!
I wanted to buy it so much. But no deal for me!
I need Asus to include: 1) video out over USB; 2) Headphone jack; 3) Infrared (nice little feature, can't understand why it's been missing for the past few years).
Also, GSM Arena, please include info about the video output capabilities (if any) of the phones you test. It is a shame that we have to look for this kind of basic information elsewhere!

ExGANDI, 09 Oct 2020They were ridiculed about living 3.5 on ZF6 /"how oldf... moreI definitely never ridicule the 3.5mm audio jack port as it is still relevant in 2020. Not everyone is using wireless Bluetooth-powered audio peripherals. Also, the sound quality between wired and wireless earphones or headphones is totally different between the two - true audio fans can easily tell that wired ones is way better than wireless. The only area where the wireless wins is portability.

I have a suggestion: on ZF8 should be integrated only HALF of 3.5.

They say, Asus gained 9999999 km² while removing 3.5mm from phone 🥇🏆🎖
A small sacrifice for humanity but big price for Asus...

              Shame on you Asus...
Remove 3.5mm from your skn motherboards if you really have guts...
May we see hyperx buds soon which is part of your evil plans. 👹👺👿

Using this device for a week now, itsa keeper.

FYI guys there is where the notification LED is on ZenFone 7 Pro: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EhGP3IIU4AAUv7s?format=jpg&name=medium and it supports three-colors only - RGB. Now remains to be seen how well this position works in day-to-day use.

Will always have to keep the phone's bottom side facing you to see the notification LED. Can't be seen if you get up, return to the room, phone is on a table but you are now facing it at a different angle.

There is no AOD yet for notifications. The AOD only supports clock with 3 styles which is another disappointment.

They could've easily put a headphone hack in it but decided to save a few bucks by not putting one, and at the same time earn a few buck by selling their shitty bluetooth buds. If only it had a headphone jack... that phone would've been almost perfect.
That's what greed will get you, lose potential clients.

I personally find it funny that ASUS removed the 3.5mm audio jack for the Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro when they're both thicker than last year's Zenfone 6 (9.6 mm > 9.2 mm). With such thickness, I am definitely sure that there is still a space at the top or at the bottom to include the audio jack port. I've seen thinner phones with SD 865 chipset that has the audio jack port: https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nYearMax=2020&nThicknessMax=9&chk35mm=selected&sChipset=42&nOrder=1
