I've been using this phone for 2 years. Love it for my hand, one handed phones are amazing to use. I like the side-mounted fingerprint, never been a fan of under the screen fingerprint. User interface is good, not to color coded like Samsung.. Lol. The annoying part. 1.Charging, it doesn't take any charger and i was surprised the cable malfunctioned after a few months so i use a laptop charger to charge. 2. Speakers, they are not well balanced so you can only listen to music when the phone is upright because the bottom speaker is the main speaker and loudness is 90% compared to the top speaker. I used and I'm still a Sony fan and they have perfected this department. 3.Fingerprint is too sensitive sometimes and when you thought you had locked the screen and put it in your pocket, you'll realize later that it deleted sth or butt dialed someone by mistake etc 4. Updates. While you will be happy to use Ultra Stamina mode to save battery, it doesn't notify you of notifications, even mails.. Sony's Stamina mode doesn't interfere with notifications and works well... I am huge fan of both brands but i was looking for compact phone and zenfone 9 captured my attention. Now that i skipped Sony for Asus, there are compelling reasons for me to go back to Sony. My previous phone is Xperia xz2 from 2018 and trust me even the battery is good as new.

            Hi
I want to buy zenfone, but

            Zenfone 9 or Zenfone 10?

Anonymous, 02 Aug 2024after use this phone for 1 year, the battery start drain re... moreIt might be true, the battery is Li-Po not Li-Ion, which is a lower quality and degrade faster, xiaomi and tecno and those companies usually use it

Bug...not getting gmail notifications.. allowed auto start, unrestricted battery save, etc no uses

Can it be ordered from India?

BEWARE. Zenfone 9 didn't live up to IP68 rating. Bricked after being in 6 inches of water for 30 seconds. Of course it's out of warranty and would cost more to repair than buying new old stock Z9 on eBay.

I think you should check your background processes to find out what is eating up yout battery. I have it for almost 2 years now

Had mine for about a year now and haven't had any problems :) Great phone, camera bump is truly enormous though so it feels terrible to put it down on a table if you go caseless like I have lol

I finally wanted to get a 'premium' android phone with a great camera and small size, and I was very happy with my choice up until the first system update. the camera got useless (focus issues, google it...) and I had to restore and send it back, not even being a year old. then it happaned again, 2 months later. very very disappointed and I just wanna advise not to buy this phone. doesn't worth it. shitty software. shitty service. :(

I've been using the Zenfone 9 (250/16) for over a year now. A few months after I bought it the motherboard had issues and I had to send it to Asus to change it. Symptoms were I couldn't be heard when talking and the camera just stopped working. After the motherboard change the phone is great. Actually, it is the best phone I ever had. I love everything about it despite the issues. I intend to keep it as much as possible.

The Zenfone 9 has its flaws, but all other phones on the market are insanely bad, so it'll have to make do.

Been using it for almost 2 years. Asus fixed most of the annoying software issues: I no longer mute the phone with my ear, and the camera has gotten much better post-release. Still annoyed by the meager 2 years of updates. Since I've paid a shocking $800 for it, ZF10 offers basically no advantages, and no other phone is the same vein has been released, I guess I'm going to just stick with the ZF9 regardless.

Other than its compact size and overkill of a chipset, I also appreciate the DC dimming mode. I'm one of these people who simply cannot use PWM devices. So essentially Zenfone is the only usable "flagship" out there.

The 3.5mm jack is also neat. If you're serious about music, why bother with bluetooth? If you're not, why spend $30 or more on buds that you're gonna lose in 2 weeks? And who decided that sticking Li-Ion batteries inside your cavities is a good idea to begin with?! The only reasonable argument out there is "I don't like cables". Fine, you do you.

I am using the phone since 2022 and its one of the best phones for the money i paid. Better value the a iphone wich i never wil touch for its dirty maked strategies.

Please don't make the same mistake as I did and refrain from buying the beefier version (256GB / 16GB RAM). There's a critical RAM management bug.
In concrete terms, when you try to access a recent application, it will be impossible and you'll get the error message 'app isn't available'.
I never got any response from ZentalkAsus and XDA.
Good luck to those who paid 800 euros for a device which does less well as my very first Android device bought in 2011 and operated with Android Eclair.
