Great phone.
Has its + and -
+
Built in TV is good
Long Battery life !
Camera wows simple person like me !(comparing to my S5)
-
-GPS is simply useless(works and does not work, if works may not be accurate at all)
-SIM that has nano cut and when you put it back to phone with adapter may sometimes lose connection with the phone, added extra paper for that problem and works.
- Sometimes when i bend the phone restarts.(might be because where the power putton is located)
Sadly would love phone more if GPS was properly working :(
Suites for person who uses internet ,for usual calling and TV if signal is good

Anonymous, 02 Dec 2016Great display and design. The battery is also good and take... moreGreat photos in daylight, i wouldnt go that far, truth is i seen chinese 5.5 inch phones for half the price that takes better photos if disregarding geometric distortion that most people dont notice anyway. But is yours the 8 or 13mpix camera? Which one is the worst?

Anonymous, 02 Dec 20163G, or UMTS and is the successor to the GSM network and fas... moreThats what i said, but suspecting the question came from philipines i had to clarify that when the phone say 4G it means LTE, not like in phil where many, including the carriers, think 4G means H+. You just repeat what i say, not helpful. But sure, its confusing, just last week a philippine girl i know was fooled into buying a "4G" phone that the store said was same as 4G LTE, even the stores dont know the difference now.
And thats why zenfone go 5.5 owners there expect it to say LTE and not 4G, they need to be made aware of 4G being the same as LTE in the outside world.

Both use the UMTS network, where H is faster than 3G and H+ is faster than H. 4G stands for LTE and is the fastest. Thanks google. I can see H+ in locations with no 4G connection so the two are different.

Asus fan., 21 Nov 2016Any issue about this phone? yes, the GPS will stop working after 1 month of using it, GPS detection will be slow slow slow and until nothing, sent my phone 3rd time on the same issue would not recommend you to buy this phone. Asus service is also bad, they don't care as it like they will just repair until your warranty expired

AnonD-604409, 31 Oct 2016This a really good phone, for a budget phone that is. I was... moreMine has quite acceptable focus times considered it uses contrast detection. Do not compare with phase detecting cameras on newer phones. However the small apperture can cause focus issues in low light. Fully Agree its great value for the money and 32 bit is not a performance disadvantage on android anyway. Impressed, this is basically as good as galaxy note 2, and i paid exactly 6 times more for Note 2 four years ago.

Great phone for the price, surprised to get 16gb storage at this price. As for being a 32 bit soc, it really doesnt mstter, only iphones has a massive advantage with 64bit CPU. However im disappointed that Android gotten much worse since last i had it (4.3), wow how much it sux, going from terrible to ridiculous, what a mess lol. So this phone does not risk being used by me, just got it coz its cheap, if you can stomach Androids catastrophic workflow and annoyances this is amazing value for the money, and its so cheap thanx to the clueless boys who think 32bit is out and talking down the price of all 32bit devices, thank you clueless boys :)

Zenfone max was a total disappointment for me. For a model that has GPS as one if its features on the box and website but just doesnt work is terrible. For those in doubt how it was tested, heres what I did:
- Out of the box FW, downloaded offline maps, tried outdoors with clearskies no surrounding structures, no wifi, no data, no blu tooth, pure gps only (why? Gps function is a separate hardware built in the phone for offline navigation, wifi, data, and btooth is just an alternative or support for accuracy for areas with possible obstruction when connecting to gps) No GPS working
- updated FW to at least 3 versions up to the most recent, did the procedure above...still no gps
- went to service center since unit is still in warranty, told them the things i did and they acknowledged it and i was told to wait three weeks. I patiently waited and finally got my phone back. At that time I checked GpS and it looked like it was locked to where i was (service centers location) i assumedthey fixed it. Went back home and It was later i realized when i tested it at the center the wifi was on, so it was detecting the location of the ip address of the wifi connection. I turned off wifi, went outdoors on a clear sky using an offline map again gps is not locking. I quickly checked the paper they gave me and read the trouble report, all they did was a re flash of the FW.
WOW, just WOW. ASUS, I HOPE YOU VALUE YOUR CUSTOMERS. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
