Petra, 25 Nov 2018So can someone give opinion about the latest update on max ... moreThe lastest update seems to caused the phone to lag and slow down. There were instance where weird noise/sound suddenly echo and then the phone will restart. While playing games, it will hang and will cause the phone to reboot and it's annoying. Wished i didnt update it. Lol. Battery's dying faster that your noob teammate. Lol

I just got this phone and its quite amazing. Gyro, Bluetooth LE, GLONASS, HD+ Screen, LTE-A, Bigger Battery, Lots of Good SYstem Updates, Great Camera,and more! FTW!!!

At last it is now updated to 8.0 but I turned all the animations off to reduce lag. Don't ever plan on buying this phone lol

Have using this phone for a couple of month.
It is a decent phone but sure it is not the best for that price. You get what you pay. Standby time up to 4days. Normal usage (wifi/data on 24hrs, whatsapp, calling etc.) up to 2-3 days. Heavy usage (game, video, browser etc.) up to 16 hours.
Charge the phone using the original charger come with it inside the box. Charging take 2hr 30min to 3hrs. Start charge from 5%-15% and stop charging when it reach 85%-95%.

I got a bit disappointed because my prev. phone is Samsung J5 prime with 2500mAh but I can enjoy a whole day of browsing and playing games. I can even play 2 sets of ML with 15% battery. But now with this Zenfone Max Plus with 4130 mAh, after 3 sets of games it drained from 40% to 19%. My setting is medium graphics only. Im wondering if this is just a defect or it really is an issue to all zenfones?

Or the usage rather.. my phone consumes 15% battery on watching 1 hr 30 min. On movie.. also consumes 15% on online games! Like Mobile legends on high graphics... is this ok? .. cause my previous phone is Samsung galaxy j6, it has 3100 mah capacity, but the j6 has more longer battery life than this AsusMaxplus! Which has 4190 mah

Just bought this phone last week and i noticed that battery drains so fast...i.charge so slow...heats up when watching movies or playing games...this is by far the worst ASUS zenfone...had zenfone 4 max...and battery life is so amazing...100% charged in the morning, wifi or data is on the whole day, i watch onlune, during breaks or ay gaes...by the time i get home from work around 8pm it still has 30% bat life...max plus, by 3pm is already at 15% with just data or wifi on...no playing games or watching movies...

Try go to Battery --> Battery Optimisation settings --> turn off battery optimisation for alarm clocks. Let me know if it helps.

smptotz, 17 Sep 2018okay. i bought this phone last Sept. 15, 2018 and not fami... moreif you play heavy 3D games or games that require a lot of CPU like clash of clans, of course it will drain battery... The cpu it's only 1.5

Alarm clock (ASUS default and other ones I downloaded) regularly ring late, making me late for work.

camera too cool! performance 8/10, it just happen to heat fast while DATA is on, yah i agree with you all what zenfone max plus your holding right now?, im using mine for almost 8months and no problem at all :)

I honestly don't know which Asus zenfone max plus m1 y'all got... I've bought this phone for three people... Currently using one... No single problem... Battery lasts full day on very intensive heavy usage... Camera is as good as iPhone 7plus... No heating problem... I'm in Nigeria so honestly I don't know which unit y'all got

Guys is anyone here experiencing autorestart of phone.
As of now i using my phone for social media. I also download parallel app and multiple accounts app so i can open up 3 fb accts at the same time. before it restarts the phone lags. even thou i use power boost its still auto restarts. do i need to upgrade my firmware or others?by the way i already replace the phone because its still under 7 days replacement.my 1st max plus has the same problem.
