After the last update (058), the battery is draining way too much in idle condition and SOT is reduced. Last night my battery was at 22 percent with no background apps running and when I woke up I see the battery is at 15 percent. I purchased this phone a few weeks ago to use as my main phone as this phone doesn't have any bloatwares. Previously I had two of this phone and this is the third one. I had to sell the previously owned 2 phones due to buggy softwares after updating the software. Even today there are bugs like in the Sound settings, the volume sliders are flickering and PUBG is not running as good as it did on Oreo but still the Pie update is good, that's why I'm using it. The only problem I've right now is that the battery drains way too fast after the last system update. I wanted to purchase between the Asus 6Z and ROG 2 Phone but after the terrible experience I've had with this phone, I am not content with buying another Asus device.

1. Upd... moreThe first one (057) actually downgrades the Widevine to L3, that's why Asus quickly pushed the second one (058) to fix that.
Already installed the latest one. Works normally without issue, still get around 12 hours SOT on 2 days of usage. I guess the next update for security patch will be next month?

Sk, 16 Sep 2019Once mother board issue started then it continues give you ... moreThis phone dont have motherboard issues like Zenfone 6 but maybe it have some camera issues like I facing now if I want to use the camera need to enter camera twice to make the camera works. I have use this phone about 14 months from July 2018.

Bought the 3/32 version here in Indonesia for $113. Came with Jan 19 security update and so I updated it several time, right now at 055 firmware.
Have to say I'm impressed. It feels nice on hand and love the battery life. Constantly got around 12 hours SOT on 2 days of usage while always connected to wifi. Never see or feel the bugs that comments have told here, no idle drain either only drops 4-5% overnight so I'm a bit confused about the bugs that you guys have been talking about.
Perfectly happy with my purchase. Looks a bit retro though with big forehead and chin compared to notchly phone around me but I really love the price/performance, battery, triple slot and headphone jack. Micro usb port and the lack of quick charging are the only minus for me.

Battery life is dropped in Pie 56 update. I bought it just a few days ago. Before that, I had two of this phone. Had to sell due to software bugs. Bought recently as a secondary phone. PUBG Lags even in smooth graphics and high frame rate. Oreo was good for this phone. Anyone know detailed procedure to roll back to Oreo?

All you need to do is just enable usb debugging, reboot device and enter fastboot mode while connecting your device to pc or laptop, type some command on cmd or use program that you can find by googling it, then its done. Your device is not rooted and you can still enable your camera2api

Boot into fastboot mode and just use a command to enable it, it doesn't required rooting and it won't root your device. So your device will still in warranty and will receive OTA updates.
