Just bought this item and it was Superb. Gaming performance is smooth, display is wide, no overheating issues, and lots of wonderful features for this unit. Even the camera and its apps

malaysia unit also included headset, and yes, the sound quality is bad. my old zenfone 2 stock headset sounds alot better (amazingly still works fine after 3 years)

I have one for 3 weeks, and already asked for a refund.
It's a wonderfull phone but, there is a very big but, it's full of bugs.
Bluetooth constant error.
Camera error while on video call.
network error
I think is a bad firmware/OS ,the problem is that ASUS don´t give any kind of useful support.
Another major problem, the camera app is to basic, doesn't even make panorama photos.

Lying? Lmao! Unit includes charger, headset, earbuds, clear case and manual.

This is because at my country region, there is one Telco that offer free 20GB data for new sim card, but those datais only free on 4G network, the free data won't work when the phone connect to 3G & 2G.
So, same as you, I set my phone to lock on only LTE, means only connect to 4G, then I able to utilize the data.
The bad thing about this is because voice call is still 3G, so I can't receive any call.
On some telco, I did face the issue where the 4G signal is low, then I have to switch telco.
IMHO, switching better telco in my area with better signal is the best solution.
Because funny enough, at many area at my country region, 3G actually is faster than 4G, where at many dead spot, 4G totally is unusable despite having 4G signal, then 3G actually has much more stable signalling, so most time I just let the phone to connect to the network it prefer to connect. Well, main problem is still on the telco where they fail to provide quality coverage on all area.
I know this is case by case. Yes, hope they bring back the code to lock on 4G signal.

Weird that 1st time I heard t... moreNo dude, i have tried installing those force lte apps, it's not working, without this feature the network keeps switching between various bands and thus consumes more battery according to the region. When you lock the network to lte only, the network gets lock with one band and thus keeps ping stable without any choke and loss. I hope this feature will be back in next update or else am selling this phone away. I know many users doesn't understand what i am taking about but most gamers will. I have seen other users talking about this issue in some asus forums. Even cheap cheap phones that cost half the price of asus pro m2 have this feature. You can try this yourself, dial *#*#4636#*#* and try to lock the network to lte only , you will notice that it's again reset to default multiple network something like (TD-SCDMA/CDMA/UMTS). when i use this phone for first time i could do this but after update features gone so clearly this is not a hardware issue but software and it can surely be fix if asus does fix it if not well i am going for something else and will not cry about this anymore.

Weird that 1st time I heard this.
Well, VoLTE is what you use, then this lock on LTE mode is very useful. However, the problem is VoLTE is not all area is covered by LTE signal, thus sometime it become less useful.
I don't think majority people would like to lock on the LTE.
But of course, cannot lock onto LTE with *#*#4636#*#* is pretty weird. You may install a apps called "Force LTE Only" to see if you able to open the setting.
