Anonymous, 25 Jan 2016Hey man try laser 550kl only battery life is less but m usi... moreTruth be told 3000 mAh makes more sense on a device without fast charge compared to way too outrageous 5000 mAh, but yeah if Asus launches a new improved Zenfone Max model with same 5000 mAh battery and fast charge then things would be much different, I hope Asus will learn from this blunder and rectify this model in future because such a phone has potential to do well in market if you pack in fast charge in it, but as for now Zenfone 2 Laser is a more practical choice.

Packing in such huge battery without fast charge capability is complete stupidity, the battery takes a long time to charge up to full.
Phones like Gionee Marathon M5 with 6020 mAh battery manage to pull off such tricks because they have fast charge capability, without fast charge capability such huge battery is completely impractical.
I guess Asus just tried to woo customers by showing off a huge battery and looks like many were foolish enough to fall in its trap.

I've been using is, even replying your comment thru it. The battery is real. 5000mAh. Battery backup absolutely monster. Normal usage such as chatting, media social, a bit of gaming, browsing internet via chrome on WiFi, brightness lowest, this phone can stay wake up for 22hours. Yes, I agreed that charging this phone will take longer that others, around 6hours 5% going to 100% charge.

have any 1 tried high graphics games on zenfone max after upgrading to the latest firmware... if so please post your feedback regarding the performance of the game (basically nova 3, nfs most wanted, gta sandreas & asphalt 8) on continuous basis... do forgive me for my r.i.p. english if you feel so then...

I have a smartphone with the same 5.5 inch 720p display and at 267 ppi I can't see the pixels! Yes, there are smartphones with FHD displays which cost the same or 25$ less at it's best, but they have 4000mAh battery at best(3000mAh most of them), more powerfull processor, which eat the battery very fast and none of them are an "A" brand companies! So low resolution? If you can't see the pixels, how can be low???

Its quite a good phone.
Battery backup is good.
I am getting 2 days battery backup (24 hour wifi enabled).
Camera is quite okey.Not so bad.
I didnt felt any heating problem
It doesnt have a fast charging facility.
No heating while charging.

Very bad battery backup only 6 hour and charging time is 4 hour it is not 5000 mAh it is only 2000 mAh battery

Asus zenmax charging problem , takes 10 hours to full charge from 10 to 100 percent. The company claims about baterry power is false it is hardly 8hours on wifi. Further photo taken is not good
