Camera sure is awesome especially under daylight, moreover if you learn the manual mode, but might not work as good under low light condition - good for its price though
Facebook, messenger, etc - never had a problem
Battery - would last 7 - 8hrs for light usage(sms, few calls, quick fb)
- for extensive gaming (pokemon go with 4G data always turned on) would last 4hrs
Hence, its just average. I always keep a power bank since i play games or would you rather check the zenfone max series.

for god's sake don't you update this Zenfone; it disabled so many good aps and gave lot of trouble. first the language changed; sms became corrupted; ringtone was lost; some other useful apps like mirror etc were lost.

I'm about to buy this phone. My main use is the camera, facebook, & messenger. Does this phone really hang even without gaming? and does the battery drains fast?

Took 5 pictures and it encountered error: hang. It took several minutes to refresh and back to camera mode again. Happened every time, since I first used it.
The photo quality is good, if only the camera worked without hang problem this would be a good camera phone.

I have been using the phone for a year. Both cameras are great especially the selfie cam. Only issue is battery life. if the screen is always on e.g web browsing, I think it will only last about 6 hours. The screen uses a lot of power.

But performance wise and other things like display quality, Processor and gaming experience is just OK type.
I feel LG will be definitely better on these counts as it has got better display in QHD.
You have to decide what is your priority- Camera(Selfie) or Performance.
So far Rear camera is concerned again LG will have comparable camera, if not better.
