Note that in order to get ZenPad on latest version and enjoy the best in class performance, you must do more than 5 updates in a row, for a new device out of the box. Once you finish all updates, go to settings, about, version. Check the version ID. The version string has a date in it. In the format of yyyymmdd. Make sure that the date is from December 2015. If it is not from December 2015, then you need to continue updating the device. This post is written over ZenPad c 7.0.

Ahmee, 22 Feb 2016what is fota version.FOTA, stands for:"firmware over the air". It means that your phone supports software upgrades, automatically, over WiFi connection. Not all phones support it. ZenPad does support FOTA. Therefore a brand new ZenPad out of the box, does not contain latest ASUS updates. And you must upgrade it, current latest FOTA version, is from december 2015. You can easily check the FOTA version by opening, settings.about.version. the date isvwrigten in the version as yyyymmdd.

A few words about general look and feel, while using ZenPad. Using this device feels very smooth experience, provided you made sure to update to December 2015 FOTA. There are cool applications built in, like super note, which are very cool to use, the large screen is excellent for media, with vivid live colors. Connectivity is made excellent with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and dual SIM cellular on the go. There is nothing that this ZenPad cannot do compared with the fluffy high end expensive brand models. And it cost 5 to 10 times less. This post is written over ZenPad.

A few words about battery life. ZenPad battery lasts 1 to 2 days, when used as phone device. Which means that it is used in mixed standby mode, screen off, and also media mode, ehen screen is on. Please make sure to turn on ASUS battery manager, in order to enjoy the longer battery life. Please configure most applications to be managed by the battery manager. Otherwise, the applications consumes the battery much faster. Some people complains that their battery drains after a few hours. Of course, if you continuously watching media for hours, or playing games continuously, non stop, then screen is on for along time which get the battery drains faster. This is true for any phone or tablet. Screen on continuously is what drains batteries. This post I write over ZenPad, enjoying ASUS slide touch keyboard. Highly recommended.

This device does everything I need it to do, and it cost around 5 to 10 times less comparing to high end fluffy brand models. Highly recommended.

Also high end expensive and fluffy phone models do not suport flash player out of the box. And why? Because flash player over android requires complex installation. Android phone and tablets have touch screen displays, which are challenging for flash player, which is designed for larger screens. Please avoid blaming CPU, Atom or SoFIA, since flash player suport has nothing to do with CPU. Personally,I focus on what I can do with ZenPad, instead of what I cannot do. I have been using ZenPad for over half a year, and it has been great for me. I highly recommend, you can do a lot with it, and it is very cheap.
