AT&T launches the Moto G 4G this Friday

Better late than never, we suppose. AT&T just announced that it will start selling the Motorola Moto G 4G this Friday. To clear things up, that's the LTE-enabled version of the original Moto G, not a new version of the 2014 edition of Motorola's mid-range phone.

AT&T will sell you a Moto G 4G free of commitment for $180 or you can sign up for a year and grab the phone for $80. With an AT&T Next plan the phone will cost you $7.50 a month for 18 months or $9 for 12 months. If you activate Next on a new or existing line you can get $100 credit.

The Moto G 4G has a 4.5" IPS display with 720p resolution, runs a pure Android 4.4 KitKat on a Snapdragon 400 chipset, packs a 5MP/720p camera, a microSD card (unlike the original Moto G) and, of course, 4G LTE connectivity. You can find more details inour review.

To quickly sum up the differences between the Moto G 4G and the 2014 model, there's no LTE on the new one, but it has a bigger screen (5") at the same resolution, same chipset, better still camera (8MP, still records 720p video) and added front-facing streo speakers.
