When you guys buy the new BenQ P50, does it already come with 1.14 ROM? Now 1.14 only available in Chinese but do not know if there is problem installing over the English 1.12 ROM. Any advise?

i just got this phone yesterday. it's great. i was just wondering if anyone else noticed the circular sticker on the back near the camera. is there a purpose for that sticker? i took of the clear plastic that was covering the entire back of the camera, but then i saw there was a little circular sticker, but it is harder to remove...

I'm not sure if we can upgrade our WME2003 to 2005.Maybe after some year but not with legal way.Does anyone can propose to me a good bluetooth headset???

Hi guys! I like to know if its confirmed that when the battery dies, all your information (dates, contacts)will be gone as well? Like some O2's?
I have a p900 and I like it but the keypad is acting up. To replace it costs 75USD!!! Any suggestions comments?

of course there is a official 1.14 ROM published by Benq. Below is a website to download for Traditional Chinese version.
What I am saying is, 1.14, this is the latest ROM !

If you can read Chinese, you may like to try the latest Traditional Chinese firmware upgrade V1.14 at

choose 1) smart phone 2) applications 3) All Operating Systems then the 'query' button. Click 'P50' and it will bring you there.

I have had this phone for over a month. I totally love it. I feels like a phone when holding it, and using it. The camera is pretty good, the WiFi has good range. The key to this and any non-WM5 PDA or phone is to set ActiveSync to perform an auto backup everytime you connect. Any handheld will lose all data almost every week or so (depending on software installed, & battery usage). Having a recent backup allows you to be up & running 100% quickly. And the auto backup takes only 2 minutes to do (after the very first backup is done). You can still use the phone during the backup. This phone, along with a 2 GB memory stick, and bunch of the best software truely makes it a "Pocket" PC. I have my entire photo collection of over 1000 pics, 100 full mp3, 150 SNES games, 40 PPC games, World Mate, weather software, and WisBar desktop, etc. The battery is pretty average, but it can power up via USB, so having a 4-pin USB cable at work, home, etc. makes it alright. I am a tech buff. I have a touchscreen PC in my car with 120 GB of music, photos, videos, GPS, movies; 52" HDTV; Widescreen HDTV/LCD, etc. This is my favorite tech item own!!! Get it.

Hi all
(1)I bought p50 for last 2 month ago. The on/off button looks damage. So, i never power off by hard button pressed. Just set backlight 10 sec turn off/on.
Is this idea easy damage to the system?
(2) P50 the full features, but quality so poor when i compare video, camera, battry life with O2 mini.

There are no firmware v1.14.. the guy is just posting nonsence just to get reaction from people.. I guess he needs attention.. The LATEST firmware is v1.12 that's IT!

There is a SW version 1.14. After upgrading my one is much more stable. Suggest everyone goes for the SW version upgrade.
