While traveling and using BenQ P50 with its cellular phone specifications be carefull that you need to be close to AC power. If the battery is low cancel using phone, otherwise it turns off and you loose every contacts data. The worst thing is I couldn't get the contacts' phone numbers from storage card to the contact file on P50 and neither the service center could help me on the situation in Turkey. It seems I need to fly back to home and reach my computer to get back the contacts from my outlook file. :(

Can confirm all comments on short battery life.
But what bothers me the most, is the fact, that it turns aotomatically the external speaker on, if you call through Skype. Did anybody has a solution for that?

The BenQ P50 does work with Skype and successfully runs a lot of ther 3rd party software. I have tested this PDA extensively over three months and have concluded that I wish I had NOT bought it. Main reasons are:
terrible battery life; cannot buy spare battery; no way to lock all keys so often turning camera on by mistake; no way to actually completely turn off PDA to conserve battery; and (worst of all) the PDA sometimes completely locks up (it seems to think -- erroneously -- that the battery is extremely discharged). The soft reset does not then work and one is eventually forced to a hard reset and the annoyance of re-installing all software and contact data. This has now happened to me several times and I am sick of it. It was an expensive mistake. There are many 'do nots'. Do not put into 'deep sleep' without killing most programs, do not remove battery without putting to deep sleep etc. etc. There are hints in the manual that the manufacturer knew about the bugs. A first generation product that went to market far behind schedule. That should have warned me!

Completely work with skype but speaker come our from handfree speaker not from phone speaker ( stranger can hear you phone call). the Cons is battery is rubbish even i you second batts. my phone lost its keypad light after 5 months used. Sometime it seemly uncompartible with some installed software cause hard-reset...bag after sale service.

It's perfectly working with skype.

I also want to declare i had many PPC's till now (HTC S100, 2020, 9100, even Qtek 9000) and finally i bought P50 which i believe is the most quallity PDA overall.
The only problem is i can't use Activesync over bluetooth and the short battery life(approximately 3/5 of the duration of Qtek S100).
Looking forward to buying P51!

I just made my purchase but it's not here yet, but from what I know they came from different countries. The one I bought is made in Taiwan and I have been told they are better ones. I wouldn't recommend those came from Thailand because a lot of people having problems/bugs with them. I was fighting with myself about the Benq P50 and the Qtek 9100 because I need the keypad badly, I gave up on 9100 since it's in WM 5.0 because you can't really type as a single-hand operation. I will post again after I tried this one.

I bought phone one month back. From the first week onwards it is in service centre. This phone is very unreliable. The phone goes off line very often. If it loses signal it can not come on line on its own. I have to reset. Camera function is awful. Battery life is very short. I have to charge every day. I do not recommend any one to buy this phone. Phone function is unreliable and service centre is unable to fix this problem.
