and all of you complainin bout battery life..yes it sucks..but jus look on the internet and find another capacity battery

internet = 1100Mah..

well..my phone's being repaired right now and i HATE THAT THING...its dead....okay heres a fault list
battery wont charge
if your lucky it will turn on for about 2seconds b4 it goes off
cover flips of fone
broken earfones
usb cable not working
if u try and play music it turns off and wont turn back on for the next 3 hours and if u so much as press a button while its turning on it turns off over and over again...
NO SOFTWARE UPDATES since BENQ-SIEMENS shut down
freezes
slow..but then again it honestly does depend what Software Version you have...my freind has same fone and his is fast butttt....still has same problems as mine
getting fone bak in couple off days ill see wat happens k bye!

try to decrease the illumination to 30% or less. i'm using it as 30% and that's enough for my eyes! el71 has a very strong back light and a clean image even if the sun is right over your head.

Hi!I have a problem with battery.It needs always to be charged cause it is 2 much weak.Is it fault of all batteries of benq-siemens el71 or just mines???Thanx

i absolutly love the PHone but my sister wanted to trade it in for an lg shine so i am having to buy one my self how unlucky.

i think your problem is something about the micro sd itself. when i transfer mp3 files or anything else through BT it works well. maybe your cellphone's bluetooth was blocked by the mobile phone company since when you bought the phone. try to call them and see what's going on with your bluetooth.
the sd card formatting is something i never tried. does it need any number to validate the process? that's something you should call the manufacturer too. they gotta have the correct information about the apparatus number and how to unlock what you've locked. =)
thus i guess there's nothing wrong with your cellphone. try to make calls or contact anyhow the right people to give you the best support.

hi all... i need your help...
I bought a memory card for my EL 71, (micro sd). I inserted it and make the practical test proposed by the mobile. the phone recognise the SD card, but im unable to copy mp3 through bluetooth. When i send the file, as soon as i accept the file, the transfer is blocked... Plz can you help me!!!
Moreover, i have tried to format the memory card, but it requires the apparatus number, i have tried 3 times and this function is now blocked... how to unlock plz

hi folks!
a lot of people saying that el71 is a bad phone, but i contest. i have one for a great time and since then it never caused me troubles.
good facts: it has a PERFECT display visual, it's a totally customizable cellphone, easy to use buttons, 240x320 pixels display looks amazing. never froze, never let me nervous, just satisfied. fits perfect on hands and pocket.
a great choice for those who seek for a pretty nice and beautiful phone, full of resources, customizable, made of a high quality materials and everything else a cellphone can be.
the bad: you'll have to recharge your battery probably every night if you enjoy every phone resource like lot of calls, games, music and camera.
conclusion: go for it.

Siemens fan, you have to update bigger then your current version. But only slightly at a time. So if there is a version 13 do that. If the smallest after 12 is 16 then do that et+c. You understand?

i went on gsm multifund and got to the page with the el71 downloads available, but dont know which one to use.can you please help?!?!
under phone identity on the phone it says i have software version 12.

i think the benq siemens is the mini mokia n95 its a slider phone like the nokia n95

Phone looks very cool but gosh i have never come across a phone that freezes so much. I dont hear my calls when the slider is closed and whats up with having to switch on the power after you open the slider, it reads "phone locked pleases turne off" then you have t switch it off and on a again? Am i wrong or is it the phone, somebody help?

in fact the battery has a very short life. there should have been infra red and radio attached to this phone. it has made this phone useless even though it has some few functions such as mp3, blue tooth

I need help bad! What should i download as an update?.. There is a few on them websites & cause i dont understand much about phones i dont wanna download & try install the wrong firmware or patch. I have never had an upgrade to the phone. My hpone is,

I have had this phone for10 months, It has been replaced once and Siemens have re installed software once, but unfortunately it still is as bad as what it was when first bought! It freezes, doesnt tell me messages have arrived, turns on and off by itself and slows down dramatically whilst trying to use the text facility! It seems a lot of us are all experiencing the exact same problem, yet the company arent doing anything to make this better, they are not offering anything in return to compensate for the money we have spent on a phone that we just cant seem to give back and exchange!
One good factor about this phone is it looks good!

You can see the movie full screen. My only beef with this is that if you already started watching a video in its regular setting, and the make it full screen, it will restart the entire video.

i've got it for 2 months right now and it's wonderful! sound quality and display are perfect, even photos aren't so bad;) its construction is very good and it looks better than the preetiest woman:P battery, when you listen to music a lot and when you play games or talk for a long time has to be recharged in about 2-3 days, but when you use it rarely it lasts for about a week or more! with the latest software it is very stabile, doesn't freeze and doesn't turn off without any reason... firstly when I got it, when I was charging the battery for first times sometimes it turned off itself(when I was turning it on after a night on which el71 was turned off), but now it doesn't happen. only thing which emarrased me is that that one day when it was in my pocket this titanium plate on front made a loose, but now it's ok, after some time of keeping it tightly in my hand it repaired itself:)
I really admire this phone and I recommend it to everyone - not only to Siemens' fans, but to all people who are looking for a cheap but superb phone:) greets
