would say the S88 beats the K750i by merit for its cheaper miniSD card and thus it balances the K750i's price depreciation …………it is unique coz ti dose not require black light because of its pixels naturallt emit light….. and has the first OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) screen for GSM phones……cool phone!!!

that explains why it have nokia 6230 end call and send keys
good phone. small thin, for a candybar, good features, just missing the radio and 850mhz band for it to work here... siemens only sell here low end phones which are crappy.. too bad they could be really great it their high end phones were worldwide

Good phone really. Although it does look like the k750i, its functions ARE better. and i've seen the photo qualities between the two phones. S88 has better quality. Video recording abt 3 hrs, quality also can be compared to 750i. It also has a private folder thing. It also has the first OLED screen fer GSM phones, really nice. cool!
BenQ is actually an ODM, they've designed phones for other companies b4 eg motorola, nokia.

The design is great , and the result of the 2.0 camera output also quite similiar to the quality of SE , i think its worth to buy if the price can be cheaper more

I am privleged enough to use the royal 'we'. Just kidding. Lets be honest here there is little originality in phones these days. Motorola does seem to be leading the way in innovations. I believe they had the first flip phone, the first twist phone and then the slimmest phone.
I have great hopes for this phone going off my past experience of BenQ hardware. Unfortunately my experience of Siemens phones is just disappointment but hopefully this partnership (buy out) will bring out the best of both and give a kick in the pants to the other companies as they appear to have become stagnant.

Who's 'we' exactly?
I've posted several comments below stating that the S88's design is somewhat based on the SE's K750i not SIMPLY because of it's colour. I never said that BenQ-Siemens phone can't be black/silver (and only SE's phones can). My whole argument is based on the fact that the colour, design (where the buttons are situated, practically the overall design) and the camera's interface in particular must have been inspired from the K750i in some way or another because they are so alike.

Ken firstly somebody has posted pictures taken with the S88. the links are further down. Second we are talking about design not colour. Siemens has been making phones with a little joystick for years. Just look at the page of Siemens phones.

Yeh, i'd luv to see some pics taken by the S88, and maybe some real life photo's of the handset, would be cool. Also what colour are the keypad lights (blue LED's r smokin!)
Oh yeh- also...
@carbonize
Since when have siemen's ever made handsets that look like the design of the S88- (black, silver trim details- particularly on the battery cover, and a camera button on the side?- all of which the K750i's design features). I don't understand how u can make such a statement and i don't recall ever seeing most of Siemen's handsets looking like this (and if others had we'd all be saying 'that phone looks familiar to another siemens!') And so it doesn't make sense to say that maybe SE copied Siemens if this BenQ-Siemens S88 handset came out long after the K750i was produced.
