To Justice : My screen also got the same problem.The prv. screen also remains in my one for a while,itz because itz OS is slow from all side,i think.
I hav a Qsn. in Bangladesh,we are gettin this set UNLOCKED in 9,800 tk only it means $140.the producing country is Taiwan & SW version is 1.29.Is it the orginal price all over the world?what the price in Europe?

I got important questions so plz reply if u can:
i have notice when i use the mobile that there is a shadow of the previous screen or page which i have accessed printed on the current screen and it faded slowly until it disapear ,for example when i open the camera when the message appear "please wait.." i see the shadow of the standby screen around the message which apear clearly to me.
My questions is ,is that the cost of the OLED screen and it apear on all of your mobiles or its just my mobile and there some thing wrong with it?

1-can change the time format from 24h mod to 12h?
2-how can operate the timestamp option in the camera "there is only "off" option".*it is the option which wright the date on the pic taken?
3-what is the setting of the mpeg video that played well on the mobile cuz the one i played on the mobile was awfull?

plz listen carefully if you want to kno about it.i hav it and i recommend to buy it for those peple only who like to snap photos,listening music and want to carry a stylus,executive looking phone.cos picture/display quality is great nd speaker is loud enough!n i think the age renge of people to hav it is over 30.
if you r young and want to experiment with softwares,transfer data via bluetooth and need xtra muzic producing mega-bass and listen radio,this fon is not for you.cos bluetooth is slo,headfon music is not louder.operating system sucks,java property:too bad(no software support or firmware upgrading available).

I had the same doubt some mounths ago, and i bought this S88...
To tell you the truth i coudn´t be more happy, this is the best mobile i ever had in my life, it´s really one of a kind, and i must say one of the best and unapreciated products of Beqn-siemens.
I always like Siemens, but this phone has anything to do with Siemens because its software is pure Benq an thank god for that!
First of all is display is amazing because it uses OLED techonlogy and is contrast and sharpness you don´s see any mobile with this quality of image believe i saw many Nokias N series and none of them even compares in reallity of colors provided by the screen.
It has a wonderful design wich won the if award design back in 2006, and it´s very solid. All the rest is very good like it´s camera , sound quality, mp3....The only drwback it´s the sms writting somtimes it could be really slow, so if you´re an sms fan think twice...
Don´t let the brand fool you, this phone is very unique.
Benq-siemens el71 i saw it once, but form what i´ve red it´s batery life don´t even last one day thats why i didn´t bought it...My s88 lasts 3-4 days with regular usage wich is fine for me.I hope i could be usefull

not an exceptional phone like they say in this forum...good camera but ef81 does more nice sound ..cant compare with sony-ericsson cartoon display stay good in hands...good phone for person who does not care bout the tendences

Hey i saw its camera zoom is 16X. Its really?
How did it take photo in far? If i take a photo with 16x zoom, does it will clear as like 2x zoom? I want to say that it's zoom is like digital zoom?

people, I haved that phone, but i have too problems with the network and batery low. The cam is fenomenal but that is only one reason to buy it

its sounds clear,not too loud,but its louder then the 3230,but if you want something loud and good you should buy nokia 5700...,or something cheeper n70,but th s88 sounds clearer,but n70 is louder...but i have both,n70 and s88 and i like the n70 better,because you cant compare nokia with B-S...the dispaly is better then the n70,but i still chose that..

Good phone, but not supported by uk networks for mms, as far as I can find out. Certainly on O2 the get settings does not seem to work.
