I am on my 4th 7100t. I too went through the huge waste of time of getting the run around from customer support. They want to run tests, update the software, etc. Everytime I call they act like this is some rare problem. I can't be sure that I am even leaving someone a message they will understand, ever. A friend played me some of the garbled, gibberish off of his voicemail. It's no wonder I don't hear back from many people I leave messages for. This has been a gigantic PITA. My current 7100t isn't any better and is getting worse daily.

Now, I understand, tmobile is stopping carrying the 7100t completely. Even if I wanted to get a new replacement I can't.

What a huge nightmare.

After about a year of use, my 7100t will not charge anymore from the computer or the charger. Two nights ago it got a full charge only when I shut it off and plugged it in. Now nothing seems to work.
When I plug it in to my computer, my computer gives messages over and over that the USB device is not recognized.
I have had many complaints from people that I am calling that the phone is too loud with background noise and have to try to cover the mic with my hand to get it to sound better.

I have owned a Nokia 9210, A Imate Jam and Mto V3r Razr. I have to saay this is the worst and complicated phone i have ever owned. The owner manual do not give you a layout of the keys. When I send messages the suggested text is totally wrong and I have yet to figure out how I turn intellitype off. The phone has only one Alarm so If I have various appointmetns I have to change the alarm. Lesson learn! Never again will I opwn a Blackberry. It's a shame that the Europeans and Asians has to show us how to make a user friendly Smart Phone.

I am about to lose my very best friend because I can't stand her T-Mobile Blackberry. We are constantly being "dropped", and the sound quality is horrible. It is impossible to have a conversation with her and understand a tenth of what she is saying. I told her to never call me again on her fake phone!

This has been the worst phone I've owned. I get complaints from most people I talk to concerning backgroud noise and the speaker volume is too low to listen while driving. I consider myself lucky since I am replacing it under warranty because the track wheel sticks.

My husband insisted on purchasing a Blackberry after he retired because he had one when he was working and found it very useful while traveling internationally.

He recently returned from a one month trip to Norway where we occasionally communicated by e-mail. We just received a bill from T-Mobile for over $2,000.00 for data transmission charges,(they are claiming it costs $15.00 per megabyte), and that these were third party charges that they were just passing on.

I should mention that his e-mail address is the same for both home and mobile and that we did purchase an add on service for what is described as "unlimited" international e-mail usuage.

Has anyone else had this or a similar experience? We cannot get a straight answer from T-mobile customer service and there is nothing in the service contract or anything on their website that would clarify these charges. Any information would be appreciated.

My speaker or regular microphone stopped working on my 7100t. It works if I attach a headset to it..... I have read many complaints on the microphone/speaker on this.... Is there a way I can reinitialize this? or is my microphone/speaker broken?

i have had the same problem with the phone as everyone else. except mine will not power up anymore nor will it connect to the computer to charge. when you ask soemone at t-mobile they act confused and dumbfounded that this would happen and no one else has complained. whatever. i think a class action lawsuit is appropriate. what if your in an emergency situation. you should be able to rely on your cell phone. not with this one. it seems this phone was not troubleshooted correctly before its release. i see that someone has had a good experience witht hte phone. but that is just one in a sea of a million.

I have the same problem. People sometimes complain that they can't hear me, that I sound distorted. Other than that, the phone is fine.

Add me to the list of suckers. Please avoid this phone/PDA and also avoid t-mobile for allowing this game to continue. They act like this is a new problem and they walk you thru a drawn out procedure of exchanges and wasting of the clients time only to end up with the same problem - a really bad phone

My blackberry 7100t was working one minute and the very next minute it wasn't. It di not fall or in any type of accident. Just stopped working. Not the battery, won't work with the charge. The phone was only 13 months old. Go figure!

And I thought it was just me...lol. I too have experienced the "wind tunnel" complaints about my 7100t. Finally the microphone just died. There is nothing TMobile can do. So sorry it is out of warranty and you did not buy the insurance. However we will give you the same exqact deal as a new customer if you buy a new Blackberry and sign a two year agreement.

Do not buy this phone. However, I am told, with the optional bluetooth earpiece the sound is crystal clear.

This is my 3rd 7100 series phone and I have had the same problems with every one. I bought the 7100T and after having many customers tell me I sounded like I was in a tunnel, I tried to get tomobile to upgrade me. They refused and after much effort, I got the store to agree to upgrade me to the 7105. I am on the 3rd one now as T mobile replaced the 1st 7105 (and wanted to charge $15 for shipping), have spent my nights awake on the phone with techicians, reloading software, pulling the SIM card in and out, being put on another network, etc. etc and the sound quality is still so inferior that people are asking me to call them on a real phone. I have been told by 3 technicians that RIM is trying to find a better microphone but nothing has been done and this will be for a new model so will NOT help the current customers who have the 7105. There is NO PLAN to do anything about this.

I work in support of these devices and they are not bad PDA's but I feel they were not fully meant as phones. The early blackberrys were more phone than PDA. I think part of the problem is a lot of people buy this device and use it for high volume phone traffic. When it really wasn't designed with that functionality. Even though yes sadly it is a phone.

This phone absolutely sucks. I type at 30% my normal rate, the buttons have broken... the sound quality is terrible. Can not believe RIM would create such a device.
