Anonymous, 18 Aug 2009Besides the united states (Verizon/Sprint) ?Its a CDMA phone which means that verizon and sprint the network is programmed inot the phone but on verizons network the have sim card holder which you can unlock to so t an be used on any network and basically you dont use verizon for anything and pop your sim in with your data contract and set up the settings in options then go to advaned and down to TCP and then program in your settings for your network its sounds way worse than it is beause this is what ive been told and only the verizon network has the sim card holders an no other CDMA network and also when buying the phone used on ebay if thatsw hat your going for sometimes you may actually find a blakberry 8830 that used to be on verizon but now unloked but you have to ask is the blackberry's pin unregisterred so that you an set up your own email address otherwise if u are bying it for email and stuff and have a data plan to do so its worthless i like to buy from this seller on ebay turnonyourmobile he sells all unloked phones he in the uk,london but does not sell 8830 and or 8130 and or 8330 and or 9530 and or 9630 but he sells all versions of the vurve apart from 8330 and the pearl except 8130 and sells all versions of the 88xx series except 8830 and all the pins are unregisterred which is a great plus cause he states that in the listing

hope this helps alot of you out there

This has to be the worst example of a smart phone. My company switched from the iphone to this and it is nothing but problems. I never know if it's going to work. About 1/2 of the time it doesn't. I don't think they could make it any slower if they tried. I'm on my second blackberry in less than a month. Incredibly unreliable.

The Blackberry phones are designed for sending and receiving Emails, Chats and all the possible internet stuff
                                      Now listen to this carefully
This phone is compatible with CDMA and GSM Network
If you are using this phone with the CDMA network one will need to insert a data card into the USIM slot to access the internet
(the data card needs to ne inserted in the same slot where you would need to insert the USIM for a GSM card if you want to use the GSM services)
if you are using the CDMA network and have inserted a GSM usim one will not be able to use the internet while on CDMA

Blackberry phone is designed for Emails, Chat cliant and all the internet applications
The phone is compatable with CDMA & GSM network
                                        Now listen to this
If the phone is on CDMA you will need to insert a Data card in the sim slot so that one can get the internet access on the CDMA Network
IF at all you are using the CDMA network and if you have inserted a GSM USIM in the phone one will not be able to use the internet while on CDMA Network
