Its having a class look and very good features . 9700 only difference is its having an optical track pad instead of track ball , also little small in size ( but in single look it resembles Curve 8900 ) . Good display , good camera ( 2 MP is ok for documentry purpose) . Overall its a good phone and I recomend it . Go for 9000 unless you want to spend more.

My BB 9000 doesnt come on even after charging for several hours. Battery harzard sign shows on the screen. Pls who knows what do to make it work again ?

i juist bought a BB9000 i find it difficult to connect to internet and it cant read the memory card i inserted into it

If you purchased from other retailer, you need to get in touch with Redington Services, the official distributor for Blackberry in India.

Reduce the backlight to 70, reduce the light timing to 20 seconds, at night enter the 'bed time' mode from the Clock menu. that should boost up your battery life a bit

Just got my blackberry, this is truly a queen of the Blackberrys (king being Bold 9700 ofcourse). Nonetheless a good phone, immense phone memory, fast processor, decent battery life, nice metalic edging and leather finish back panel. Couldn't ask for a better BB in this price. Definitely a good phone for those who want to move above the curve level but find the Bold9700 too pricey...
