Very unhappy with this product. It crashes constantly, volume button and sleep mode button are both malfunctioning. I've also had nothing but problems with the tracker ball. I have problems scrolling in certain directions. I can no longer scroll down, rendering 80% of the phones functions useless. This all happened right after the 1 year warranty expired. I am now looking for a new phone, and whill not be going with a blackberry.

If you're looking to buy this phone, let me help you save some time. This phone is garbage! I am a blackberry fan and will never switch to any other phone but the bold is crap. I've been through five bolds in less than a year. The phone crashes, the speaker gives feedback, the phone shuts off and won't come back on, deletes all my data. The most important part - the battery doesnt last. The most you'll get out of it if you use your phone a lot or average is 2.5hrs. It always has to be charged.

Think twice before you buy the bold. I just decided to go the the 9700 coz i've had enough.

I think it was caused by just grime getting in behind the wheel, but it should be built for that... Apparently its not.

I have been using one these since christmas 2008. That was the longest almost year of my life. During that time, I was plagued with software issues, constant restarts and continuous issues with reliability. Many sites do not load correctly with the browser, many times I need to remove the battery because the os had frozen completely. This is the only device I have ever used where ripping out the battery was an excellent fix to 90% of the issues.

It finally died a few days ago when it missed going into my holster and dropped down a flight of steel stairs where - with slinky-like form - it hit every step on the way down and thankfully no longer works :D

I will never again by a product from crapberry.

                                    To EVERYONE:

I met someone this morning with a Blackberry BOLD and they were complaining that there mic wasn't working. They said it fell and the mic stopped working since so now a new mic is needed. For such a hyped up phone at such an expensive price that is poor craftsmanship. I expected more durability from the Bold.
