This phone has a 528Mhz processor and uses 512mb storage space on board. It is slower that the 9700 but allows for more storage on board (excluding memory card).

Just received my 9650, here is the review:
overall speed is good and lookwise is fine.
sound quality (calls and music) is really poor, like listening to a chinese cheap phone to be honest.
keypad is best no doubt , compared to other BB devices.
still cheap compared to 9700, as i bought mainly for mailing and messenger services.
body mainly made of plastic, which is likely to wear as my last pearl 8220 flip curve.
not so happy (maybe i expected a lot from BB)

anybody tried using this in Manila? are you able to use the BIS from our GSM networks completely or are you limited to voice & text messages only?

I'm already using this ? bold 9650.
I feel surprised of it's memory because it is bigger than bold or onyx. So we can install any other applications without worrying about it's memory.
Beside, the size is fit-not to small- so while I'm texting using the qwerty keypad is sooo comfortable.
The price is also affordable. :)
