kyle, 03 Jul 2010i just got my 9700. and i installed facebook app. but i tir... moreKyle, Blackberry apps downloaded from BB App World, like Facebook app for BB or Windows Live Messenger app for BB won't work with just regular APN Internet service from your phone operator. You have to get a BB data plan from them called BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) or BES(Blackberry Enterprise Server) in order to get those apps working.

i just got my 9700. and i installed facebook app. but i tired logging in and it says "cannot connect because a data service is not available." my sim card has data-enabled. it also happens even tho i connect to the wifi. anyone can help me on this? but i tried logging in fb using the browser and its okay.

Balaji, 01 Jul 2010Guys.. I need an urgent help from the users of BB 9700. I j... moreHello Balaji, i was in your situation some days back.Contact transfer is easier that u can think.pls follow the steps below,
1)use nokia pc suite to transfer ur contacts to ur laptop.if u r runnign vista/7 transfer contacts to address book.
2)make sure u hav installed blackberry desktop manager,go to synchronize.
on that page go to synchronization under configure and setup synchronization to b from outlook express to device.
3)go back to synchronize again,select "synchronize organize data"and then click sychronize.
Afterwards, u should hav all your contacts in ur E72 copied to your BB.

dam dam, 25 Jun 2010can anyone pls tell d best quality.bold 9700 made in canada... moreMade in hungary 9700 is NOT good that's for sure, having hardware problems, been only 3 months and i would consider my self as a light to average user and NOT a heavy user. Problem Started off with restarting on its own and now the phone just wouldn't switch on. If any suggestions anyone! please advise?
NOTE: Tried the master wipe, upgrading the OS, re-installing the OS, went to the tech. got the hardware checked and fixed, phone worked for about 2 hours then restarted once when trying to load the application list, had to do a battery pull and it re-started successfully. Didn't use the phone, Slept in woke up in the morning, on my way to work, just clicked to check the time, phone froze and again the same issue. Just won't switch on.
Kindly advise if any suggestions.

I have the BlackBerry Bold 9700. I can Honostly say, its the best one ive had. It does everything you want. Im the type of person who lives on their phone.

I had my BB bold for 14 days and it froze on me I took it in for repairs. They have now told me that they will replace my phone with a secondhand refurbished phone.
Think about it i sent in a BRAND new phone and now i get a REFURBISEHD phone. Does that make sense.
Thats what I call daylight robbery. MY support and marketing for BB ENDS RIGHT HERE.

I have had 4 exchanges now through*****and I now have to go in again for more problems.
I must be incredibly unlucky or they really are **bleep** at putting together a good decent phone.
I'm not usually fussy with phones but when its a 2 year contract id like it to last!
My first 2 blackberry bolds both went faulty, the first would start up at the Blackberry loading bar and always get stuck in one place when loading..so it was sent off and a new one sent back.
The 2nd phone's screen one day whilst using went white with a 501 error sign? no idea what that meant but they sent it off and sent a new one.
The 3rd was sent to me with loose bits, rattled and SLOW. The trackpad was leaning to the left, not just slightly but it was completely sunk in.
Now the 4th one i have...i have had this one for just 1 WEEK and the trackpad has fallen in and wobbles a hell of a lot, causing it to creak when using it. it drives me mad!! It was fine at first too . I could have put up with that until it now doesn't charge up fully. My other friends who have BBs and they charge up fine when plugged into my charger. Ridiculous!
All i'll do is send it off again and receive yet another faulty/badly manufactured phone.
Is theres anything I can do to ensure I get a PERFECT phone that I can rely on for 2 years? I just want to enjoy a nice, good phone.
I've been without a blackberry for longer than ive had it to enjoy since my contract started. Its not on.
))))))do absolutely nothing about it and just push the blame to Blackberry saying i need to sort it with them.
PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE GETTING ONE.
THE AFTER SALES SERVICE IS BAD. I FOR ONE CANNOT GET INTO CONTACT WITH BB TO TELL THEM MY PROBLEM.

I got my Blackberry Bold 9700 for a few days now, I used a HTC Diamond 2. The BB for me is far more advance and much easier to use. I will advise people not to think twice to get this phone. Its the best

Guys i need your help my BB9700 has a problem the call register is cut in half i cant see the first dialled number i can see the number only of the person who called me and the name is chopped off but i can see the second number..Its really frustrating me>>>Please assist>>>
