its good that mine is made in Hungary therefore it falls under the SAR EU which is 1.36 W/kg (head) 1.18 W/kg (body), much lower than the one sold in the US.

"SAR (specific absorption rate) is an indication of the amount of radiation that is absorbed into a head whilst using a cellular phone, the higher the SAR rating the more radiation that is absorbed into the head." http://www.sarvalues.com/what-is-sar.html

"The FCC requires that phones sold have a SAR level at or below 1.6 watts per kilogram (W/kg) taken over a volume of 1 gram of tissue."

A deal breaker for me is the 9700 SAR level which is currently one of the highest on the market. 1.55 W/Kg is simply WAY TOO HIGH. Max allowed radiation is 1.60W/kg! For example Nexus One has 0.37 W/Kg which is nearly 4x lower than the 9700. Thanks Blackberry but I'll pass.

If you wrote that review you should hang your head in shame, it has to be one of the poorest most ill informed reviews I think I have read about this phone.

This phone ain't the prettiest, it aint the fastest, it ain't the smartest, the browser is mediocre, the camera is marginal. But it has one thing that the other phones do not....a BIS service. All my friends contact me using the BBM. If I have to stop using BB, I would be the loneliest bloke on the planet.
