Was using the iphone and just bought the 9700....its amazing!!...u will like it especially if u want to be in constant touch with ur emails....also.... the bb messenger feature is amazin......n using iphone n 9700 at the same time, i've noticed tht the emails r recieved much faster on 9700 than the iphone....so...Hail BB 9700!!!! :-)

But do check whether the battery usage is really what is claimed. And if you are a GPS enthusiast, Garmin would be preferable. Can 9700 take Garmin, I duuno. I am also looking at 9700, E71 or E72. Looks like 9700 is one up now, all things being equal :-)

Can it zoom a pdf document to the level it is readable to normal eye?

I just love this device. It does not really matter whether to get this phone or the iPhone it just depends what you want to do to the phone. There are also apps in Blackberries but not as much as the iPhone or not as fun. In the iPhone you can use two fingers to play but in blackberry it is not touchscreen. Like I said it does not matter which phone to get. In my case I like the Blackberry Curve better and I just bought the iPod touch for the games and such..

damz , 26 Jan 2010i am about to pgrade my phone nd ive been given a choice ou... morebold 9700 is Okay, maybe you can compare with Sony Ericsson Xperia X10(i read the feature is Great too).
All, its about what you need, if you like chat, you can bur BBB 9700 with many people as your friend. and if you like entertaint n rare chat you can choose many option from another brand (Soy Ericsson, HTC). Good Luck

Leandro Dias, 25 Jan 2010I don't understand why they changed the scroll by Trackped,... moretrackpad is much faster than track ball. plus track ball gets stuck after some months of use. i love the trackpad of Bold 9700, no repairing is needed. all over this is the best smartphone, way better than any NOKIA or Apple device.

just bought the bold 9700 .previously had the bold 9000. and to my surprise 9700 is much better and faster

hi , does anyone know how to send contacts to another device as opposed to just cutting and pasting the number and sending it on in the usual way. Doesnt seem to have Business Card applications like Nokia etc

Needless to say, if you really want a good phone, take the 9700. forget about 8520.. On the other hand, if 9700 is a bit pricey to you, you'd rather be having a sleek black Nokia E71 or E72.. I guess most people will find it hard not to agree.
