Anonymous, 27 Oct 2009Is the controler a trackbal like the last bold? No, no trackball. There is a trackpad, just like in the 8520 Curve.

i guess the reason why they reduce the screen size is for the sake of getting longer battery time. many people complaint that the BB9000 can hardly last a day. smaller screen is probably the easiest way to fix it.

It seems to me that the only reason why some people like the old Bold 9000 is because it is a big phone that can be shown off. I really cannot understand that mentality.
By all objective analysis the Bold 9700 has been judged the best BlackBerry ever. A bigger mobile phone does not mean a better mobile phone. A BlackBerry phone is not for showing off. It is for emails, PIN messaging and BBM. How anyone would describe the old Bold 9000 as being better than the Bold 9700 is beyond me.
A phone is not for showing off!

There seems to be a tendency to reduce business handsets... The old Bold was the perfect size. New one has a smaller screen... Why?? I still use a Nokia E61i because of it's large screen. I guess they expect those of us looking for big screens to choose the Storm 2 instead?

Hi All,
Thinking of getting this one, which will be my first Blackberry if true. Anw, is there any document editor pre-installed in this device which can create (not only edit) office document files?
Because last time played with my friends 8900, and i think the DocToGo software asked for a license or something to upgrade into the full version. Newbie to BB here so kindly correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.
