Dont recommend it. It was ok back then but nowadays ypu can get better phones for the same price such as samsung i897 and nokia asha 302. im buying an lg optimus 4x myself.

I just got my bold 9700 bb. I love this phone and it works perfect; but the only problem I am facing is can not find blackberry maps. I requested for it from rim and a bb download link was sent to me but could see it on homescreen after downloaded. Said was install on blackberry installers.
So please help me, how may I have bb maps on my bold 2. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Further, how does one right click a BB device?
I love 9700 and would be highly obliged if someone could tell me how to increase the inbuilt memory which can be used for applications. I hardly have 40 mb free after upgrading to OS 6. I have added a 8gb micro sd card which can be used for media and files, but not for applications.

I bought this 2 years ago and it worked fine till about 2 months ago when the keys started working erratic. Got the software reloaded, worked for a month and then the problem recurred. Got this repaired at BB service centre for 90$ approx INR, in the meantime was gifted the 9900 by wife. 9900 is having a better screen, etc. but gets beaten on the battery front which lasts for a day. Have now got back this after the replacement of the keyboard and screen, working fine; battery lasts for nearly 3 days on a single charge. Love this, only hitch - how to increase the built in memory since after upgrading to BB OS 6 got only 34 mb free space - so getting into a spot where new applications loading is tough!! but love the BBs.

When for the first time BB was existed in HK, I was one of the quick first buyer who bought it. It was OK, good and quite handy to use it for business communicate.
At this years, new and variant BBs getting so popular. But I never upgrade nor change until my old BB has retired. I did buy other smartphone; however, I got problem with handset once it goes drowned in the water, can't be fix it at all.
So I thought to buy BB bold 9700 as my friend recommend it.
After reading few comments in here, some says good some even says worst, I got confused. SHOULD I BUY THIS BB BOLD OR NOT????????

spend money on diff phone if you are too noob...im using shrinked OS6, still hasnt found any prob...no need to do battery pull..just do alt+aA+del once in a while...

Answer for MicroSD Card Not Working.?
Go to MAIN MENU then click on OPTIONS then Click on MEDIA CARD then
1. "MEDIA CARD SUPPORT: ON/OFF" Switch it ON.
2. "Encryption mode: Switch it NONE.
3. "Mass Storage Support: Switch it ON.
4. "Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected
Set it to PROMPT.

1. The screen looks fragile and easily distorted when receive a bit pressure
2. The internal ROM is limited so when upgrading to OS 6, we need to delete some less useful apps to ensure there are enough memory left for the OS to run lag free
Other than that, it is a fantastic phone. Sharp looking screen with very good outdoor visibility and great hardware keyboard.

if you do have important files on your card,, just format it on your phone directly,, just fixed my friends phone a few hours ago,, and card worked again,,
