There is no Bold 1 with model number 9700. I guess you are Indian, my advice is to buy from Authorized Dealer only,beware of Chiness Copy-Cat fake BB 9700 which looks exact as original,but it costs upto 90% less than the original BB 9700.

yuup I have a china made! the price is less 75% but the inside sub menus is not the same with the original...anyway i can fairly call and received messages normally. not bad with the price..

R, 15 Sep 2010yes you can use wifi for bb messenger i do it for jokeFor joke its okay,but at real life,you cannot use bb messenger in wifi internet my dear friend,bcz bb messenger need to be connected and encrypted via bb servers which is possible only through blackberry servers offered by ur carrier or ur company through enterprise server network.

for me i still prefer this one rather than the torch, this phone is the type of phone you'll use as long a 3 yrs. and still meets ur needs

Carrier: MTN in S/Africa... I have had my BB 9700 for 2 months now and can honestly say its the best phone I've had. Had no problems of any kind. Just want to know if it has voice guided gps? MTN in SA uses the Garmin GPS platform.
