Because you can at anytime upgrade or downgrade your BB OS as your conveniently. If you feel an OS is buggy or suck your BB battery, you can freely change the OS to the best for you. Furthermore, to give more space in your BB memory, you can shrink the OS to make its small size by remove items that you dont need. The result, you BB will run smooth and no lag or hang anymore. My advise is, you dont need to install rubbish applications or games on your BB, because it will make your BB run slow like a snail. you can update your bb os to the latest one such 6.0.0.722. This is the stable os I ever use.
to zoy,
Go for bold 9780 if the battery life is your concern. Bold 9900 is the most battery sucker. It cant last for a day.

BB are producing "sh*t" phones with expensive monthly plans/subscription which is a real rip off. There is absolutely NO resale/second hand value!!
I'm so glad that my contract will be over in a week's time. Cheers.

I'm planning to buy a blackberry phone. But I don't which will I buy. Either 9780 or 9900. Can anyone tell me which is better? I'm concerned about the camera and the battery life of the phone. Thank you for the answer. :)

BB 9780 is the best handset i have seen with great battery life and a good camera with 5MMP..just love it............

Confused between 9860, 9350 & 9860. Plz help me. Would luv tuch screen, but reviews suggest os7 r having poor battery back up.
Can i also opt for gprs plans to use for internet use in bb- as in nokia. I m frm india. Using airtel at present
