I'm wanting to choose btw the BB bold9780 and the touch 9900. Which would you guys recommend. Seem to be quite a few negative comments on the touch. Is the battery life really that bad and excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is the auto focus that it doesn't have and why is it so NB. Thanks

If you go for 9790 it has poorer battery life and poorer audio..The 9780 is so much cheaper and more solid a device in all categories..The 9810 torch was another contender but it is a bit heavy but ticks EVERY box.
I immediately ruled out the new 9900 with poor batter and NO auto-focus..Its up to you how you use your BB and whats more essential to you..If you just want BB messaging and email the 8520 was the best selling smartphone in the UK last year and cheap as chips..
I did have your dialema but think i made the right choice before BB goes QNX but in the end its up to YOU.

i rlly like this cell phone. i had the best experience with this phone,. and also the nokia 8800 issa great phone to deal with too.

golu, 09 Mar 2012i want to purchase bb this week should i buy 9780 or 9790... moredon't get either. I've had 3 9780's and they've all broken within 3 months. You are better to get the brand new 9900

Screen ... moreyes it can be replaced!!Blackberry does it for free if you havent dropped your phone,if youve dropped it you can stil send it in and they will replace it take it to your service provider but beware its very expensive i fixed just my track ball/cursor cost me R400 but it is replacable(took 3 weeks)

I accidentally pour water on the keypad of my 9780. Screen is still working but not the keypad and trackpad. Can this still be fix? Any1 experience same thing?

Why not black berries have skype. Does any one know if I can install and use skype on this phone without being restricted to a particular operator. Blackberry people this sucks, shame on you. Dont you know this had been the major reason people are not buying BB and going for Iphone

shir_lee, 13 Feb 2012My 9780's battery can only last for a day even though I've ... moremaybe u didnt charge the phone more than enough when u first bought and use it..new phones must be charge for like many many hrs then u can use it..sometimes used up all d battery life first then charge it for many many hrs..to prolong battery life. also turn off d apps if not used instead of let it running,,
