the phone is simply awesome ! i just bought it 2 days ago and the phone is smooth and fast but one problem i have is the battery life !! i really recommend this phone !!!

Battery life of Bold 9790 is really pathetic.. It does not even last for 4 hours if you are an extensive user. RIM has to seriously go back to their research team.
Even battery saver softwares does not help a bit..

Namita, 07 Jun 2012m planning to get my ist BB ... Just confused between BB Bo... moreI had the same dilemma but I choose the Bold 9790. And I am happy with it. It's a Hot phone and up until now I dont have any mayor issues, but then again I've only had it for 23 hours :)

This is my first BB and let me be the first to tell you that my experience has been great ... The battery life is solid ... The camera at 5MP is good ... The internet is slow but if you remove all the extra programs that you are not using it will actually increase the speed ... I also shut off java because most of the internet sites I use are for news/sports ... This phone will not lag and is user friendly ... If you are a internet phone user then this phone is probably not your best choice ... But if you are in the business sector and a person who uses text and email on a daily basis then you have a winner in the Bold 9790 ... Make sure you get a screen protector right off the bat because the screen scratches easy ...

i have this phone for about a week now and i have noticed that the battery keeps heating up all the time! Esp when i am downloading large files of the net, is this normal or should i take it back to my service provider?

Purchased it last week. So far, I'm satisfied and the battery life shouldn't be an issue. Used many applications, yet still complaint. Aiyoo

9790 Battery quickly turned hot. really different from the previous BlackBerry quality (BlackBerry 9000/9700)

The ring tone volume is so poor. Secondly, the touch screen is so bad that the speaker phone gets activated so easily during a call. I also noticed a strange thing that each time when we speak the receivers call is put on hold somehow. Still havent figured out whats the reason. NO software updates yet.
still suggest you buy the 9780. value for money. but quite slow compared to 9790.
