who,s face battery problem my advice you to update your bb os to the latest one such os 7.1.inside this os battery saver programme.i purchase this phone past week i am happy gud battery life or gud performance i also use 9790 os 7.1. you also download 7.1 os below this link.

this phone is wonderful because first of all the battery can be very good if u just turn ur connection to edge instead of 3g , second , its coming with radio but just download it from the Application World , plus the lock button is not automatic , just go in your settings dude !! its a wonderful phone btw !! excellent !!! magnificent !!!! 5 mp camera , 8 gb memory !! great

This BB model has such a pathetic battery that its useless as a smart phone for executives. Has to be charged twice a day!!!. Just imagine that RIM claims a talk time of 5 hrs and a standby time of 400 hrs, and this battery without usage drops by 15% in 6 hrs at night itself with no usage.
This model of BB is actually ment for a 5yr old! Hats off to RIM for such claims and against the claims such quality.
Thats why their market shares are going down the drain

So true !... I am using blackberry ph frm last past one year. And I swear I had pathetic exprenience with it. Wont be using it ever again. Hangs mst of time,battery doesnt last for mre than 8hrs. Sick phone. NOT RECMNDED

But after you have update the os, then your bb battery still remain as usual, its time for you to get another high capacity battery.

I have a BB 9790 for 3 Weeks now... I love the phone and all, BUT, I have to charge up Twice a day... this is driving me crazy... When I had the BB 9300, I used to charge every 2nd day... My Word! What can I do for the Battery to last longer?

You are better buying a landscape qwerty slider like the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro over any blackberry.
