I have a BlackBerry Bold 9790 bought in December 2011 and when i power it on it says ORIGINAL BLACKBERRY SMART PHONE and the phone and battery are all made in Canada. Is that the same with all BB9790? ITS A GREAT PHONE

I got my BB bold 9790 a couple of days back and Ihad a problem with it's battery the very fiest day as after my 1st charge the rear part of the cell started becoming hot. Battery got drained out almost in 2 hours without me even using the cell. I took it back to the retailer who explained that there could be a problem with the battery that was provided. I was gives a new battery and was asked to get back if the problem persist and Wow!!!!! There we are the BB has not given any problem since then. Battery charges pretty soon compared to Samsung and could last you a day with minimal usage and approx 15hrs with some descent use of the phone. Guess should not be much of a problem if you are on the move but carry your charger along. All in all a very good, sleek and light phone with a powerful processor, fits perfectly into your palms. I would rate a 7 on 10.

Have been using the 9790 for a month now, initially the battery used to last just 5-6 hrs, but lately it has increased dramatically to 15 hrs (very heavy usage on 2g)...the 9900 has its share of quirks, go for the 9790, so far it has been great, just wished that the battery would last longer...but thats it

i have had it for one month so far and it is a Very good phone... no battery life problems.... works great very smooth, fits good in hand.. very light in comparison to previous bold phones. I am glad i bout this over the bold 9900.

Guys I know that the 9790 is a new phone but I'm wondering does it have cases ? Like sillicon and metal cases and stuff ?
Cuz I heard it doesn't have !

No e-mails, no BBM`s and no BlackBerry Application was working. On the other hand, handsets is been put in the system like ............!! I am in the market for an upgrade right now, but did not have the slightest indication which handset to choose. I am the owner of a BlackBerry 9700 and am in the market for something in that range, but something with a longer battery life. No one of the handsets have a battery life that can last talking for a day. There is the 9900, 9930, 9790 and lots more. All of them within the same feature range. In the MTN store here in Kimberley, no one of the staf have the abillity to give information to give direction wich handset is the best for me. At this stage I am on a cross-road. BlackBerry or i-phone. AND this comming week I have to make the desission. I think the Apple route is going to win this bid. It feels like BlackBerry is on its way out.

Hey guys I'm really confused between the bold 9790 and the bold 9900. I'm using bold 9780 @ the moment, I'm really waiting for u guys 2 reply and give me an advice.
As I know the bold 9900 has no autofocus and it has 720p HD recording but the bold 9790 has autofocus and it has VGA recording. So I'm really confused ! The CPU is almost the same between 9900(1.2GHz) and 9790(1GHz), so I'm not concerned about the battery life as I can swap the battery for an 9780 battery that can fit the 9790 !
An honest reply from a user who have used these phones will be much appreciated :)

9810 has good auto focus camera and hi-def video record,
9900 has NO autofocus and poor battery,
I am torn between torch 9810 which has the lot and 9790 BUT the 9780 is just as good as 9790 but loads cheaper and massive 1500mA batterry..
I am either getting torch or 9780 or 9790 but still undecided.If i go for 9790 i may as well buy 9780 and save money and get big battery...Arrgghh i am so unsure what to buy.
