i dont know why the people talk only about battery life of bold 9790. in last 4 years all BB except 9700 & 9780 got trouble with battery life, even their first superphone bold 9000 had very bad battery life, much worst than 9790. since 20 Dec last year, i am using 9790. found battery life, as good as my old torch 9800. plus what i compared, bold 9790 has the best battery life of all BB 7 OS devices.
about bold 9790, as a user, I may ask RIM to improve the user interface, ease of use the phone. Browser performs quite good now, camera is best in all the BB, also all 5M camera phones in market. external speaker may improve a bit. all in all i would say 9790 is very capable smartphone with reasonable price. since i love BBM most then the things might be different for other user .. sorry.

Internationally BB's are great , but here in Pakistan i find it suck , the reason is that Application world is not working here on any carrier.
take it seriously RIM.

Blackberry please release asap Software update for Bold 9790 software bundle 7.0 2083. My phones software was corrupted I can not use it... Thank you very much

They are making these phones for business people? How am I supposed to read an excel spreadsheet on a 2.45" screen?...Seriously RIM, no wonder you are going bankrupt.

good phone, got it yesterday. everything expect battery seems not that good. however, it has 1GHz processor, plus touch screen. that might cause trouble. moreover, battery capacity is less than my old bold 9780. since the phone itself very slim, RIM need to compromise with battery capacity .. anyway it is a good smart phone with keypad.

I own both the Bold 9900 & 9790, the battery life of the 9900 is just a day which is unlike any blackberry i have used in the past. I then switched over to bold 9790, to my utter amazement the battery would again not last more than a day. I thus went back to using my Bold 9700 that can last at least 2 days.
The new blackberry touch screen phones consume a LOT more battery than the previous one (this has been my experience).
I would request RIM to look into this, and would request if anyone could solve my problem.

neil, 31 Jan 2012can any one tell me how is the batterry of this phone....ho... moreI am using it since 4 days, It's battery is not good. I don't call much but use it for data and never put it on 3G but 2G and wifi, still I have to charge it twice... like yesterday afternoon I charged it full and now its on 10% and on charging again :-)
My 2 year old BB 9700 has double battery time then this one!

did buy 9790 last friday. camera is one of the best. call and network are also much better than my last N8. i love the keypad and shape most. well done Blackberry
