When you first had the phone did you give it an initial charge and drain down 3 times? To be honest, I don't use my BBM as much as most of you guys and girls but do make a few calls and texts etc and my BB lasts for two days. Anyone else having battery issues, try and drain down at least a fews times and hopefully it might solve your problem. Constant charging the battery will only burn the cells and shorten battery life. Hope this helps.

Wrong decision to have spent my money on Blackberry. iPhone & Androids leave this by miles. Not user friendly and the combined physical keyboard and touch screen is an anomaly. It didn't even have a front-facing camera. Put everything together - for it price and features - this is a robbery. RIM guys, wake up to the new century!

I'm new to bb and i've noticed that when i call someone who is engaged in call i can't recognize it as it's not like Nokia or any other Symbian Device that shows CALL WAITING to know that the other party has a call.

Like most of you i love the 9900 and i think this is the best looking BB of them all, however my main frustration is the battery life. I find that i have to charge my phone every 4 hrs, and this is when i not even using the phone at all. I had a new battery, sent it away twice and still they can't find a problem. I have now been told by my provider that this is a common fault with this model and would appear that its not just me with the same problem.

As stated the phone is brilliant, it's only let down and frustrating thing is the BATTERY!!! Please consider b4 you buy!

                      hi to all boldies...
I just bought my bold a few days ago, I love this bold with its build quality, wide and soft keypad, responsive touch screen, vivid screen color. The only disadvantage is battery life, its only can last 11 hours for normal use; 10 calls, 20 text messages, lot of bbm. May I know, if you all here can share, what is the best OS version can last longer battery life.

If you dont use facebook, twitter or any of the other social network rubbish, just delete them also with application manager and that also improves the mobiles performance.

Interesting you never mentioned the battery. I am upgrading this week to the 9900 from my (loved) 9780. I shall just have to make the best of it, if the battery is short on useage. And your clear memory tip is good to.

Thanks to GSM Arena, and the information postings on Bold 9900 It seems the battery life is the main consideration of the 9900. I am upgrading next week to the 9900. I have decided that I will accept the battery limitations, as they are. I use some battery tweaks already, on my 9700(fab phone) - wi-fi use, but switch to 3g when out and about - clear log file - use lock when not using mobile phone - reduce background brightness - alter twitter and face book notification frequency - alter from 3g to 2g as required. I think all of these things can help to an extent but bottom line is to be able to charge it whenever. Which I am fortunate to be able to do. I will use BBM texts, email, surfing a lot during the day and evening; so I guess, if I really want this 9900 I have to face the apparantly limited battery . I guess a case of `suck it and see.`
