I really love this phone and the keypad looks pretty cool. Can I hear from a reliable source if the battery of this phone is that bad please!

It's a gamble when you get any new phone. Ive got friends who bought other brands and having had to exchange them within days. I had the 9800 and that set gave me problems but once exchanged, it was awesome. So far the 9900 has been great. It's a phone and a good one at it. However, a "good phone" is defined by what your objectives are. If you want to play games or download a million apps, this phone's not for you.

BB has put too much stuff on this handset be it the browser..graphics card..processor.....bla bla bla
BUT HELLO the battery SUCKS!!!!!210 customers have returned the handset back to our shop in a week.
BB 9900=DISASTER!!!!!

Hi could anyone please assist me in trying to figure out whether to go with Iphone 4s or Bold 9900?
Have bold 9700 currently and am looking to see what to go with, thinking may be to go bold for 12 months then by that time get the iphone 5?
Any thoughts appreciated

Had been using the bb 9900 for a month and a half now, it's a great phone but have been experiencing problem with the sound system. It seems to go off every time I talk on the phone - even if it's less than 15 minutes. I can't hear the other party talking and can't play music. Need to restart completely by taking out the battery each time.
Can anyone address this matter? Thank you :)

The only crappy thing about this fone is the battery life, but theres many ways of prolonging the life of your battery
1. Stop using apps that need constant internet connection.
2. Set your FB to refresh every hour, if you open your FB it automatically updates.
3. Close apps you are not using
4. Switch off bluetooth
5. If your in an area where theres good EDGE service, switch your fone to 2G only.
The only reason why the battery doesnt last one day, is cause its constantly connected to the internet. My battery lasted almost 2 days during the berry blackout

Young, 27 Oct 2011Hi guys, i upgraded from BB 9700 to BB 9900 but i tell you ... moreI totally agree with you in terms of battery life as it is very bad compared to 9700 as I had one of those myself however I find the reception no different as I've had full signal all the time! In terms of battery life to be fair, the BB9900 is a 1.2ghz processor so consumption will be greater compared to the 9700 running at 624mhz! Saying that if you were to buy another smart phone and anything running at 1ghz + you'll find that you'd more or less get a day or just over!

Hi guys, i upgraded from BB 9700 to BB 9900 but i tell you one thing. I returned it after 2 days of use due to the fact that the battery don't last as 9700 and the network coverage is better on BB 9700.But again is really a nice phone.

[deleted post]Well not sure what handset you are using but BB's are not garbage! I currently use both BB9900 and Iphone 4! To say the least don't tell me you've a PERFECT handset as there is no such thing! BB's AREN'T the greatest in terms of apps and that's where iphone comes in! However BB is a fantastic phone in it's own merit! BBM for example and it is the MOST secure phone in terms of handsets! I'm not saying BB's are perfect but neither is your phone whatever your using! It's a Business device so if your a person who loves apps / adverts and games then the is NOT a device you want! Like the person who you had responded to, it's ashame that people like you come on here and start bashing....all fair and well by giving your opinion but trollers like you should be BANNED!

Been using the 9900 for 2 weeks now and loving it. However, one minus point about this phone is it doesn't have the auto focus for the camera. Other than that, it serves my purposes of chatting, gg to FB, getting emails and love the keypads!

it is really a shame that people come in here and bashing other phones.
for me, i think bb is a great business phone. if this is what you are looking for then go for it. i have been using BB9900 for a month now and i think it is great. battery is not a problem either when you disable 3g. you dont need 3g when you have BES. you can read and reply to your emails very easily and securely.
i own a samsung android phone as well.. but i use that for social networking and such...
finally, all i have to say is that blackberry is a phone. unlike the other brands (namely iphones and android) which try to pass as a business phone but fail so miserably. for me those are just gadgets and toys...
