Frank, 10 Oct 2011Been using 9900 for a week. Kept it on 2G&3G mode. The ... moreI have the 9900 for a week now - beautiful phone, especially the qwerty keypad. No battery issues. I have 6 email id's configured & receive around 30 to 40 mails a day. I am using only 2G and switch on the wifi only when in range. 5 to 10 calls a day. The battery is down to 20% after 2 days. A tip - switch off the location setting as it is a drag on the battery.

Does 9900 need an update to solve the battery problem. Read many complaints about this matter. Otherwise how is the handset, any comments & any issues? Would it be a better choice to opt for 9810 as features are more or less the same.

Got my BB Bold 9900 on Saturday and the battery life is a disgrace!! Fully charged at 7am this morning and by 4pm it was dead. I had only sent 4 texts and made one phone call lasting 2 minutes. It really is appauling as I have the Bold 9700 and it lasts for days if I don't use it and normally 2 days without charging. Not sure what's going on as BB's have always been good on battery life - this is my 5th and never had any complaints.

OMFG....it's an absoulte disgrace!!!! 1 day life!!!! NOT impressed!!! Also, I set up profiling for different callers etc...once phone is switched off and back on again it losses all memory so people you assign a ring tone to it goes back to default on the profile!!! WTF...even a BASIC Nokia can do better! BB lately have nothing but trouble....server keeps crashing....prices going up and then the software are full of BUGS!

how about the battery, i think its just still a good question to ask becoz all i know is my BB's battery is so bad in browsing :(

Also, just found our that it is cheaper to buy songs and albums over Amazon, than it is to buy from iTunes. Effectively got 12 songs for the price of 10 (when compared to iTunes for same songs)

Still no dualcore? All other brands hv moved on to dual core n samsung is even planning a quad core phone.. This is a flagship model for BB but it still has to do a lot more to compete with the iphone n top android phones!

Been using 9900 for a week. Kept it on 2G&3G mode. The battery life is awful compared to my previous 2G 8900. I get about 4 hrs regular use (just a few calls, fiddle with it for a few minutes, browse for 5 mins) before it starts decreasing and once it gets to 50%, I get really irritated. Was wondering if others had the same probs. Any tips ?

BB4, 10 Oct 2011I have finally left my iPhone fad behind and gone for the B... moreI have been using BB for two years now and love i am getting my 9900 this week. i have an iphone because of work and think my BB is much better. i just loved seeing a person see what i see :)
