Hello.. I wanna know when Bold 9790 is getting launched and the tentative price of the same. Its a easy on pocket version of 9900 as 9900 is way too costly for its features n technology. Hope its soon. m going to buy it.

the phone is great. got it for my wife. its smooth, the screen is really fluid and ofcourse the keyboard is the best and thats what we have come to expect from a BB phone. it also bridges smoothly to a playbook and you literally dont need to have a 3G/4G on a playbook if you have a 9900 for example. you can just use the plan from your phone and bridge it to your playbook. great combo.

3G talking time is almost terrible. It is important so why this flaw? I still go for Nokia E6

Hey guys, I've recently brought the 9900 and love it! However, although I've had this a very limited time with this and already found a fault and not sure if any of you have expereicened the same and would be obliged to let me know if I am doing something wrong. Whenever I go on the underground or under a long tunnel it obviously would loose signal and cut off network but when you come out of underground / tunnel for example you should automatically see the phone search for network however mine doesn't do this and I have to manually go to manage connections and close the connection off and back on again! How any of you noticed this and is there anything I can do or is this a bug that needs addressing? Please help. Thanks.

great phone but the camera is just too bad! i had to take some photos of a watch for an ebay sale and no matter what setting it was on the picture was blurry.Used my old iphone in the end.Google "blurry camera 9900" and see how many people have the same complaint.
Batter is ok and better than the iphone for sure but just too bad about the camera.You may say well its a business phone so buy a camera but if thats the case then they shouldn,t add it in the first place!

I have been using the BBBT since Labor Day and love it. The battery lasts from 7 AM until after 11 PM under moderate use. It is constantly updating email, Facebook, text and Twitter messages as well as playing a few games, looking up baseball scores and investment performance in between phone calls. I don't think I would worry about battery life.

This is by far the best blackberry. And anyone saying anything about the touch screen, I mean, you'll never get a touch screen better than that of an iphone/ipod but it's the closest it can get. And about the camera, you wouldn't buy a blackberry for the camera would you? It's just as good if not better than most phones. Remember, you're buying a smartphone and not a professional camera

i recently purchased this phone about 2 and half weeks ago. I must admit that the battery life is disappointing. I use my phone regularly mostly using bbm. I am having to charge my batter almost twice a day morning and night. I have the same amount of data as I had on my old bb (9700) which I had no problems with in terms of battery. I personally wouldn't recommend the phone based on the battery issues. My friend has the same phone she purchased it a week before me and she hasn't had any problems with her battery. I shall be buying a new battery (Which is a nuisance I feel I shouldn't have to do this!). I'm not sure if this is a widespread problem with this phone or what but another friend of mine did also tell me they have the same problem!

i have mine on 30 % display , auto dim , only 2g , with bebuzz all the time , ok if you lightly use the phone you will get almost 2 days
if heavely with msn , bbm nd music player you should be abel to go a whole day , not 24 hours but the time your awake so the phone is ok

The Bold Touch rocks! The keyboard is the best on the market, the quality is outstanding and the performance is snappy quick. The interplay of the touch screen and track pad make it a dream to navigate and select your way through web pages, apps and menus. Its shirt-pocket thin size is ideal for those who don't like belt clips or pocket bulges. BB finally has a good browser and I found all of the apps I need. If you are a phone gamer though, you might be disappointed in the game selection.
There are multiple apps to find a restaurant or a movie and then show you how to get there, socialize with your friends, manage your investments, tell you the score and the weather at the game. There are apps to help you find your plane and track your loved ones in the air. There is an app to locate your BB when its lost and even wipe it clean if its stolen. There are even a few games to keep you entertained. And of course, there is an outstanding email solution. All of the apps I have used respond quickly and perform very well.
Some reviews complain about the camera but the photos I have taken are pretty good for a phone. I use a camera with a real lens when I am serious about pictures. For Facebook pix, the BBBT works great.
The Bold Touch puts the CRACK back in Blackberry.

I have been using this phone for a month now and I love it very much. Ofcourse all kinds of phones has their own drawbacks. For instance, this phone is so powerful yet the camera has no auto focus and the battery drains a lot faster than the bold 9780. If RIM is going to make this model their benchmark they should have made it complete. Anyway, hope RIM will make an update for OS 7.0 and fix all the bugs. But overall, I rank this phone a 9.0/10.0

The camera does NOT have auto focus but the shots aren't that bad! It cannot possible be the worst camera on any phone! Your comments are very unfair to BB and negative and hopefully people don't take your comments in! IF your that worried about the camera I'd suggest you should buy a seperate camera but the 9900 does the job well in all respects....I mean it's no cybershot but it can take shots fairly!

coco, 11 Sep 2011I am changing my Iphone 4 to the blackberry and i much pref... moreI see your point with regards to getting the BB9900 however, the iphone is good in it's own right. I've both as the iphone is superb in the respect of apps and I don't mean gaming what most people do and your right as to the BB has much better signal but what strikes me the most is the qwerty keypad that really does it for me! People compare these two all the time but they really are two different kettle of fish!
