I think that information is valuable...you should have configured Blackberry Protect...there are only two kinds of smartphones, the ones that went dead and the ones that are going to die...

Purchased in 2012 this phone has given me nothing but trouble. After 6 months of purchase it was sent to the Vodafone centre, since it was purchased from Vodafone India, from where it was sent to Blackberry, because of memory problems. After almost one month Blackberry sent a report that the phone had been tampered with and was not covered under warranty! Why would it be tampered with when it was under warranty? Well, they couldn't answer my question either. Has anyone tried contacting anyone at Blackberry? It is a near impossible task. I was finally able to get the e-mail address of the CEO of Blackberry India and sent a mail to him. Extremely promptly I received a telephone call from their service head the next day. He offered me a 'swap' handset that, in my naivety, I assumed was in replacement of my defective handset. It was later that I found out that a 'swap' handset refers to a repaired handset. I have used four such 'swap' handsets in the past 6 months. All handsets have been defective. I have lost 6 months of my warranty testing defective handsets for Blackberry. Do yourself a favour and do not purchase this handset. You will thank me for it. If you still do purchase it... I told you so :-)
